Stayed in Deer Lake while on vacation in NL and visited the Insectarium. They have a very interesting display of different insects including live ones and they let you hold some amazing specimen. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed it.

I would love to have given this 3 stars. But, it was so difficult to find!!! I'm sure I could have found a Leprechaun easier. Having said that, once found, I found the young lady extremely helpful and loads of information 😃🚴♂️🛐🛐

They have a very friendly staff and delicious carrot cake. The small museum upstairs is a wonderful way to make sure that the history of Marysvale stays alive. The park across the street and the fresh spring down the road are necessary stops along the way as well.

Very interesting to learn about the whaling history of the area. There is a good detailed description of what happened to the three ships that are wrecked there.....where they were and what they were used for.
