Oh, this place is great! Nice exhibits. I didn't get the apparent obsession with rug hooking in Acadia until going through this place. It adds great context to everything around you. Foesn't take long to go through. Worth your time.

Awesome tour to take of you get the chance. Bruce was a great tour guide on the boat. Took us to lots of different coves and explain and showed us what they look like today compatible to photos of the past. Did some cod jigging on the way back and managed to land 15 cod in less.than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
Puffin Viewing Site
Maberly Rd, Elliston, Newfoundland and Labrador, A0C 1W0, Canada
There is not much more I can say that others haven’t - this viewing site allows you to get very close to these adorable creatures, and it is an easy and beautiful walk next to cliffs. (We also saw whales). Especially interesting for us was how clearly we could see the many burrows. We wouldn’t really have appreciated this as much if we had not recently watched an incredible documentary called “Puffin Patrol”. (I think I streamed it from Amazon Prime Video.) I highly recommend watching this or a similar documentary before going to view the puffins. Having an understanding of these little creatures, their migration and mating habits, the construction of their burrows, and the little treasures that are currently inside those burrows made it infinitely more fascinating. Why do you see the puffins flying around with a fish in its bill? Why doesn’t he/she just swallow it? The documentary explains (and shows) it all.

Topsail Bluff Viewpoint
Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, A1W 5V8, Canada
Beautiful lookout spot! There is an area where you can park and walk to the lookout. Some people with trucks or jeeps have driven directly to the lookout but I would not recommend it. If you walk it'll take you about 5 mins. I'd recommend going there on a nice day just before sunset. You'll see a beautiful view of CBS and you might even spot some whales!
