Waterproofing

In May of 2005 we received a quotation from Macbeth to replace our aging cedar shake roof with a 40 year warrantied Elk brand premium asphalt shingles and they completed the job in July to our satisfaction. Since then the company has changed hands but in spite of that, when we had a minor issue 9 years later the new ownership rose to the occasion and sent out a crew to set our complaint to rest and only charged us for the materials required to repair some of our vented ridge caps which had become damaged, perhaps by wildlife, and needed replacement. I have no hesitation recommending Macbeth if you are in need of a new roof and I know they will look after any problems you may encounter after the installation with integrity. Robin Egdell

I have a flat roof. I was a bit nervous when I was looking for a estimates cause I heard that flat roofs can get messed up if not done right. I spoke with Darren. He seemed to really know his stuff. I'm glad I went with him. Our roof turned out great. No problems so far since the install 3 years ago.

Gave us great service in an emergency situation and came back to make sure the temporary fix was secure. I'd use them again.

Hired Perma Dry Feb. 2018 to remove water from crawl space & add perimeter drains & gravity flow drains to street. Work seemed to go well. I did voice concern as to the placement of the grate at the street due to it being on a slope & my concern the surrounding landscaping would too easily clog it. I was told it would be fine. The work under the house did not go as planned. Our heat did not work & it was found they had not connected duct work correctly. That was fixed, but heat still was not working properly. Back out again & extensive time under the house to fix a broken flange on another part of duct system. Received a call from owner after everything was fixed saying he was on vacation, apologizing for issues, & telling me to call him if I had any further questions/concerns. Fast forward to August. First rains & sure enough, the surrounding soil & rocks began to flow into the grate. I called & was told it would be a fee to come out. Nope. Transferred to Jack & he very condescendingly told me I needed to clean out the basin. I told him I thought the grate was in the wrong spot. He said someone would come out when they were in the area, but it might be awhile. Fine. Then yesterday I received a call saying Joe would be out between 8 & 12 & would call me when he was on his way. I changed my entire schedule to be here. No call, no knock on the door. I telephoned. Told Jack no call, no show. Jack said, "Well, I talked to Joe & he took pictures..." That is when I got angry. "I didn't talk to Joe. I was told he would be here between 8 & 12 & he would call. I rearranged my whole day..." Jack then told me to calm down. Not I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. Zero customer care.

My building hired them to clean our windows. When the job was done I didn't even know the windows were cleaned. They looked the same.

I cannot describe the absolute horror that has been my experience with Tacoma Roofing and Waterproofing. I contracted them to do a simple tear off and reroofing on my home and was told that it would be a 2–3-day job...It’s been over 2 months and the job is still not done. The initial install was done so badly that the value of my home has been permanently diminished and it needs to be re-sheeted to make it right again. The MULTIPLE visits by their crews to correct the countless mistakes made, have all been half assed at best, they fix one thing and ignore several others, causing more delays and more scheduling conflicts. The lack of communication is infuriating, I've explained several times that we need to make arraignments for our pets prior to workers showing up, and continually they cannot be bothered. I guess working on the NEXT roof is more important than finishing mine. This was supposed to be done in July and we are halfway through October and weather is coming in fast. Su

Geoff and his crew did an excellent job of our perimeter drains. Always open with communications and willing to spend the time answering questions. The work was done in a timely manor and the cleanup was first class . Most of all the contract was completed as per Quote.
