I'm a big fan of this place. They keep a large stock of interesting wines and are knowledgeable and happy to take time to help you choose without being condescending. Food is OK but on the expensive side.

Staff were helpful, however when it came to payment they said the receipt machine wasn't working. I waited for them to fiddle with the machine until eventually I got the receipt and went home. On inspection of the receipt I noticed I have been charged for a different bottle to what I had bought, a more expensive bottle of course. I imagine this is some kind of scam, not impressed. If you go I recommend double checking the receipt matches the bottles you bought.

We drank the Bacchus and the English Rosé which were great. The food comes up as sharing plates and everything was delicious. We even got a tour of the wine making equipment by Gavin who answered all of our slightly tipsy questions about wine making!

Normally just go for the wine but had a few of the nibbles and they are great too. Staff know their stuff and well worth a visit. A bit pricey but you pay for what you get.

Excellent wine shop. The scheme where you can fill your own bottle for £6 is a great idea and such good value.
