Pat has been working on my 1980 FL 2715E the past six months after I purchased the boat. All work has been completed to my satisfaction and they provided basic maintenance schedules and trouble shot a few issues, instead of recommending a costly repair prior to being needed. He also proposes reasonable alternatives at a cheaper price than the strictly "marine" quality parts that would have cost 20X the price. I have had a positive experience, although costly as all boat issues are, I have no complaints.

Totally botched an outboard motor and cable installation. If you are looking for people that have no idea of what they are doing then this is the place. They call themselves Coastal MARINE but don't seem to know much about boats. How could someone cover up the access to the drain plug with their choices in cable routing? I honestly believe they are clueless. Probably would have had better results letting an oil change boy or car stereo installer kid do the job.The un-answered question is: What are they going to do to remedy the situation?

If you want actual quality: the fact of the matter is that engines and transmissions need the same parts no matter where you take the equipment. The only difference between shops work and prices are when parts are not replaced. Prices are dropped and purchases are made on price alone.
Pacific Torque may not always have the cheapest price. They do always have the best value.
I for one would rather pay a little extra for the value and warranty.

CARELESS GUYS LEFT MY BRAKES HANGING WITH A BOLT MISSING.
Changed a lug stud from them and paid a pretty heavy price( no worries for it), they didn’t even tested it as soon as i started driving there was grinding noise, rock shield for rotor was bent. Took it back they fixed it , but left the caliper without a bolt and offered me all maintenance services etc just up-selling. The car started making much worse noises and grinding. I decided not to go back to them and went to other place, they fixed it in a jiffy.
