terrible experience working with this guy. Quoted me $2k total for labour on my repower. Removed my old engine and handed me an invoice for $3k and a box of parts. His formal quote said payment upon completion of the work, but a month into the job, he started demanding prepayment! maybe he needed it to float his failing business selling rotten used marine parts in Esquimalt? If you expect a reliable and professional experience, I wouldn't go here. In fairness the work he did do removing the old engine was 'ok'.

Use Risk Free Repair at your own risk. There are shops in business that provide a high level of service at a reasonable rate, and others that take as much as they can get with as little effort as possible. It's Risk Free to them, since once you get towed there they got you. Got towed there by a well known rv roadside assistance club that I will no longer patronize, because Risk Free are a 24/7 operation who picked up the phone. Could not argue with or convince the roadside service to schedule a tow to a dealer that was already closed for the weekend. Risk Free did not do a thorough enough diagnosis of the problem to determine the underlying issues, simply scanned for codes and finding none, replaced a filter which is a basic first step. But finding it didn't fix anything, they recommended adding Lucas additive to the diesel tank to "solve" a mechanical fuel delivery issue and get it limping home thousands of miles away. All this outstanding value and expertise at a price that a reputable shop would have properly diagnosed and repaired it for.

So my car had a blown head gasket and was overheating right? By some miracle I met this amazing woman on a facebook group I am in. We talked and decided we should get the car into her shop to see if we can get the SUV fixed. Their shop is in Molalla and my car was in Hillsboro though. I told her I would need to get together some cash to get it towed to her (large bill to tow it right) her answer "No problem we will tow it for free to our shop." Who does that? And with no pressure for them to be the ones to repair my car. After a little time at the shop it turns out it was my head gasket. She gave me a quote and I explained I was sorry to waste her time but I really couldn't afford to fix my car. Her and her husband graciously offered to work with me and figure a cost effective way to fix the car. After looking even more in depth at my car, come to find out my head is cracked, my exaust is cracked and some other things are messed up... like head gasket sealant in my radiator and hoses that is all very plugged up. They where able to fix all my problems for a mere 200$ more than my original quote (I expected an extra 600$ at least). This whole time my car has been at J&A Ashley messages me every day saying how sorry she is that it's taking so long, things have came up with more things messed up on my car, or her husband got injured. All things that are no big deal but I appriciate her communication with me. Then Ashley sends me pictures of my car ( that I sent to them a dirty gross mess) cleaned top to bottom as a courtesy since they have had it for a little bit. Then today while talking about my car and how I will be more than likely riding an Uber from tigard to the shop over an hour away, Ashley offers to meet me very close to my house with my car. Seriously this shop has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND my wildest dreams. I will be returning to J&A with all the cars I ever own. Ashley and Jeremy obviously pride themselves in their work and really do love their shop and clients. Thank you guys for all your hard work and dedication. 💖🔧🔩🔧🚗

Simply the best. I called Evergreen with my converted school bus overheating and a high likelihood of a prolong period off the road. Phil and crew gave me specific instructions to help me get to their shop without further damaging my engine and then proceeded to diagnosis the problems right in front of me. We are still currently in the process of fixing my truck but Jennifer has been amazing! She has gone above and beyond what anyone there has ever done for me. She runs the swing shift and knows what customer service is!! I have found my go to shop because of Jennifer's honesty and knowledge of these motors. I will keep coming back as long as she is there! If Jennifer leaves, I will follow her wherever she goes. She has used everything at her disposal, including engineers, to try and fix my truck. I'm certain we will figure out the issue and get my truck running perfectly!

Went in with a over heating issue and the motor needed to be rebuilt took him a week to do and after getting it back it started leaking oil around a head bolt before first oil change wouldn't up hold his warranty and now 75k later the head gasket has popped I'm looking at another rebuild because of shit work
