(DISCLAIMER: I am not here to get anyone fired or anything like that I am just venting frustrations out here and maybe someone won't or will do what I did.) Blaine High School is a decent school for it not the fact that some of the teachers are borderline incompetent I had many teachers there over the course of my time, lets delve deeper into the two extremes of them (good and bad) -Mr. Worthy, possibly the BEST English teacher in the school, though a little hard at times he is and hopefully forever will be an amazing teacher and great at his job! -Mrs/Ms. Wright, one of the worse science teachers I've ever had! she has studied much in her subject and that is clear but her superiority/god complex she has with students in insane and she doesn't allow for student growth, for example: if a student in her class was to disagree with her on something; she wouldn't try to explain her side to the student or reason with the student, she would just incessantly beg the student to "not bring the class off task" or tell her/him that because she had studied for years in that subject that her/him is in fact wrong. On some occasions she denies and doesn't believe things that students tell her, for example again: picture day had happened everyone was ready to get a school photo taken she had not let us go to take a picture because she didn't know what time the pictures were supposed to be (the students in the class had the correct time) a second example happened around the career fair when she wouldn't allow the freshmen in her class to leave because she "only knew what time the Sophomores went" even though (as confirmed by multiple other teachers) there had been large amounts of emails sent out to tell the teachers what time and where to be. this may have seemed like a rant to get someone fired but I am not out to do that, just maybe look a little closer sometimes.

First time into a Lids store and it was legendary! I wanted a custom hat that would fit my small head and the store manager took the time to find something just right for me. Will definitely be back to get more custom hats here!

After volunteering to be an assistant coach, I was told I was head coach for my son's rally cap baseball team with only 3 days notice, upon explaining why I couldn't be head coach to the league, they still insisted that I do it. As a result the kids have a coach who is late to or missing more then 1/2 the games. ultimately it is unfair to the kids. In addition they give no indication as to what kind of scheduling commitment needs to be made until after they have taken your money and done team assignments. In my daughters league (tadpole) I only found out 2 months after signing up that there were games during the week as early as 4:30pm. The Surrey Canadian Baseball Association clearly has no cares towards working parents, nor to the children who are signed up. I would highly suggest avoiding the SCBA, and signing your children up for a sport where the league cares about them and not just about getting your money.

Field is usually well kept, the diamond is almost always in great condition however sometimes in fall or winter the out field becomes quite muddy and full of gouges from people sliding and falling.
