Lilly did a fantastic job of color correcting another salon's botched job. They are on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for.

This was my first visit to Avenue Hair Salon. I had a great experience. Gil was very professional from the moment I walked in. He asked me what I wanted, he actually listened to me and gave me suggestions on what would work best for my hair type and gave me a great cut. He did not try to pressure me into any services I didn't need or ask for, which is refreshing. I have found my new stylist! When everyone asks where you got your hair done, you know its the right look for you! Thanks, Gil!

Becoming a loyal customer at Urban Colorz sort of happened upon me. I was looking to make a big change because my neglected hair wasn’t looking as good as I­t­ had when I first got I­t­ done. My color became brassy, my split ends a mess so I began my search and ended up booking very late one night using their easy & user friendly website to book after hours. I booked a cut and color and fully intended to go in to do a serious chop and go back to my natural dark color. Luckily, my appointment was set with Erin Hash and from the moment I walked in the door she could sense that I was just completely ready to break up with my current do. After asking some questions about what I wanted she said “I can tell you’re kind of over this. What would you think if I told you I could fix this.” She basically told me that there was hope for a revival of my brassy hair and understood that I had spent a lot of time (& money) getting my dark hair to a balayage. She asked for permission to take the reigns and educated me on why my hair was the way I­t­ was due to lack of just a little a TLC. I definitely put my faith, trust & pixie dust into letting go, and letting Erin and boy was I happy I did. Full disclosure, I went in expecting to spend a couple hundred dollars to become happy with my hair again but ended up spending less than $100. I left with toned hair, a sweet new haircut, product AND a wealth of knowledge which made me feel like the expert. I loved the experience I had at this salon. The atmosphere is amazing. The stylists are awesome. For the appointment I used to dread, I am now excited to book just so that I can go back and see my favorite person (and that’s not even the free wine talking!) I would highly recommend anyone who’s feeling down on their luck and needs a little hair revival to check I­t­ out - you will not be sorry!

Daniel is a wonderfully gifted artist with a real knack for knowing what to do with anyone's hair to make it look its absolute best. He's a genius with color; I get so many compliments on my hair! He also does a beautiful job with my fine, thin hair - I really don't know how he does it but I'm very grateful for his talent. Not happy with this place at all. What asked for and showed picture of is not close to what I got. And it came out shorter than told too. The only thing good was the eyebrow wax😕😢

WARNING! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISRESPECTED AND HUMILIATED!! EXTREMELY rude instroctor name JANET and the manager name SUE so unprofessional and i don't even know how they still operate as a school. Today I had a 1pm appt to get 2 toned highlights and took a pics with me. I checked in at 12:45 and Grace the person that was supposed to do my hair happens to come to the front so the front desk told her "your 1pm appt is here then she told her she can't do it right now she had to go to lunch then walks to the back and one of the staff comes to me and says "your appt is not until 1:30 so you have to wait" because she didn't know that i know Grace gone to lunch while appt booked so i told her my appt is actually 1pm then says the student is out at lunch you have to wait or come another time says it unapologetically. At 1:30 grace the student takes me to the back and met the instructor from hell and told them what exactly i want done to my hair and showed her the pic then says price will change to $50 i was okay with that and waited on the chair for 45min grace was gone so i asked Janet how long would it be before starting my hair i waited since 12:45 instead of explaining to me what's going on or apologizing she said " so you already having bad start and bad experience" in the smart mouth way and walks away and i was confused as to why she was behaving that way then all of a sudden everyone keep coming around where i was sitting laughing or they gother stating at me, talking about me as if I'm causing trouble I felt very uncomfortable. The student told her she was unsure about doing the highlights because she only done it once then Janet tells her you can do it i will walk you through it and the grace starts my hair and we had convo told me a bit about her life and i felt for the young girl and she told me she was part time in school without much experience. Grace had to take many bathroom trip and Janet never came by to check and grace told me she will be back and disappeared for a bit and some part of the front wasn't done and the bleach on the back of my hair was left for 2hrs my scalp start to burn so i saw Janet standing not far i asked her if she can come then she yells and says "what do you want" i told her my scalp is burning in the back of my head the bleach was left there for over 2hrs since it took her long then Grace walks back to the chair and opens the hair and i can see her face reaction something gone wrong so i look at my hair its fried, damaged and it turned bleach blond instead of honey blond and copper then Janet says to me " what do you expect its school and you signed up for it" then she says " you been given me attitude so you can walk out if you want" i was shocked and told her i can't walk out like this grace just said she will use toner then another instructor walked towards us and janet tells the instructor that i wanna walkout with my hair like that such a liar then right infront of the other instroctor she starts yelling at me telling me that she don't care and she was pissed because i was not responding to her behavior as she expected me to yell and scream and other instroctor gave her a look to shut up and i asked Janet why is she mistreating me? And says nothing but walks away and gossip with others infront of me so i asked to speak to the manager so the inspector that witnessed Janets behavior comes back and says " SUE THE MANAGER will be with you". then grace decided that she was done with my hair which wasn't done so she walks away to chat with other students and caught her making faces and gasping and laughing so i asked why she did that then grace start yelling too and she tells Janet and Janet told the manager Sue and Sue comes literary pulls me off the chair tells me to go to get my hair wash and leave but never came to speak to me when i asked for manager. Grace barely washed my hair, i get home the bleach still in my hair so had to wash it and my hair is damaged half not done looks horrible. Never felt so humiliated!

I see alot of bad reviews on here. Don't you people see this place only gets a 1.8 star review? Do some research before you try a new place and save yourselves the headache.

My two boys have always had a good experience getting their hair cuts here. She does a great job and is pleasant, as well as affordable. I like going to a small, locally owned business too.

Very friendly and relaxed environment plus precise and clean haircuts all around.

Been getting shellac and my hair highlighted and cut here since 2012 and I love it. The salon owner is there everyday working with customers and is always helpful.

Sarah is amazing! She gave me the coolest fade I’ve ever gotten. I highly recommend her and Supercuts.

Great place to get a haircut they get you in and out especially when you're on a time frame. Kind of spendy but it's worth it sometimes.
