I came into town from Chicago for a Homegoing (funeral) service, called Willette and she took me in the very next day and did a wonderful job! I got all kind of compliments on my hair thank you so much Willette!

A truly wonderful salon experience! Christopher is not only very talented with the service that he provides, but he also also empowers his clients to care for their own hair through education. He took the time to sit down and listen to my hair background and goals. Very personal service!

Had an AMAZING experience with MCN. I had B do my haircut and let me tell you, this is no easy task. I have thick curls that fly in every direction. She was patient and kind, and asked plenty of questions to make sure she understood the direction I wanted to go with this. I have never left a salon feeling so pleased! If you have crazy hair like me, I highly recommend B.

When I moved to Pittsburgh 6 years ago I stopped in at 5844 because it was open on a Sunday of all things. The owners Larry and Beth Ann Paul were just taking care of a few friends on the off day. I've never known people more attentive professional or just plain friendly. This salon has been a highlight for me and I couldn't recommend the experience more highly!

Eddy took care of my messy curly hair and i couldn't be happier with the result! he's also a great, charming guy which makes the "hairsalon experience" so pleasant!

A simple men's cut at $27 is more than twice the price than just down the block at Great Clips. Jen, the manager of this location, is excellent, however.

Fantastic service. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming. I got my hair cut just the way I wanted, and I got it done efficiently. But they didn't rush through my hair they took good care of it. I highly recommend coming here. I know I will for future reference.

My hair has never looked better!! Every other salon wanted 3 times what Anthony charges for balayage. I'll never go anywhere else!

I have been coming to Hair Friends over 9 years. The reason? Bill is an expert stylist up on the latest trends. He has an acute awareness of what style will fit your personality and enhance your looks. Bess & Glen are wonderful experienc stylists who always deliver satisfied customers. They offer a full round of services from coloring, frosting to waxing. These people are accomadating in every way and make you feel special. There is always coffee & tea & snacks of some sort available to enjoy.the shop has an interesting ambiance. The brick walls are lined with a rotating selection of Bill's artistic photographs. He is a professional artist with many shows under his belt. He also has a collection of antique memorabilia. There music is always playing & its cool sounds fill the space relaxing. There are stairs to climb so not for the more handicapped individuals. Parking is along the street and I usually can find a spot right on Oakland Ave. Walk ins are accepted but reservations are a smart idea especially.

I had a great nail appointment at Sherry's.

I wanted to walk-in for a haircut and highlights, but was told that I can only have haircut because the masters who know how to do highlights didn't work that evening. I always thought a good master should know both, which makes me doubt the remaining masters were good. So I walked in another place instead

I had been dying my hair black for over 10 years and through recommendations decided to have Izzazu get rid of the black! I saw Missy one of the senior stylist who did a phenomenal job at removing the black and bringing me to a great chocolate brown at the root and a stunning carmel highlight on the ends. I also got a few inches cut to clean it up!! My hair feels great and healthy! The salon is very clean and modern. Waiting area is cozy. They offered me a drink of tea or water while I got my hair done too! Attentiom to detail is great. Missy is 100% top notch stylist. I will continue to go to this salon and see her!!

I have gone to this stylist (Abby) a couple times now and I'm very happy with her service. This is the best color and cut I've received. She is very friendly and great at what she does. A true perfectionist.

Everything is good & jolly, until you get back home and notice bunch of hair leftout on your right side. Will try to even it out myself now. But the staff was polite and the place looks good too.
