Horrible service, horrible people. I found this braiding salon on Google because it was not too far from where I live and my original salon was booked up. Well the lady told me that the price for my services would be anywhere between $150-$175 for braids depending on side. Which caught my attention because it is cheaper than where I normally go so I'm like great I have my hair I'm ready! Excited to get this done turned into a disaster! When I get there she tells me that the 100% human hair that I have is too short for micro braiding so I was going to need to purchase her hair which is longer for $20/pack which will raise my price to $220. So I asked why is my price so high when u told me a different price over the phone she said no I told u micro braids are $180, a complete lie! So desperately in need with my only day off from work im like ok but the hair HAS TO BE 100% HUMAN HAIR! I'M ALLERGIC TO SYNTHETIC HAIR. I also mention to her that i went medium size braids because it takes a long process to take them out. She agrees and tells me not to worry she's been open and doing hair since 2001. After about half way uo the back if my hair she asks me to pay because she has a prepay policy after she already completed half of my head which i thought was very odd. So i trusted this lady and ended up with frizzy braids in the end of it all and tooth pick size braids. The braids look so bad it looks as if I had then I'm for months already. She sprays s bunch of moose on my hair to try and get the frizzyness to lay down but it did not help. The main thing that now upsets me the most is that i now have to take my hair out with money wasted because I'm having an itching fit due to this hair being SYNTHETIC HAIR! ONCE AGAIN I'M ALLERGIC TO SYNTHETIC HAIR. Please do not go here whatever your situation is. This is a fair warning!

She is very good and personable. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a braider. She makes you feel really welcomed. My micro braids are lovely!

RIP OFF PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!! They don't know anything about braiding.

I am so happy with my hair color I got today !! I would most definitely recommend Manivahn Hair Salon I also got a Brazilian blowout can't wait to see the outcome after I wash & style it ...super excited! This is definitely my new spot!

I was a little nervous moving to a new city and not knowing who to ask about a sew-in but I wasn't driving 3 hours back home every two weeks to get my hair done. But Tamica did a amazing job, I showed her what I wanted and she gave me exactly that and was very professional. I know where I will be getting my hair done from now on.

I have been to this shop twice now. I paid $250 for box braids down to my waist. They had two people on my head the entire time and I was out within 4 hours total. I will go back in the future.

Every negative review is completely a honest review. My experience Saturday with my grand daughter was that I called for a quote and appt. I went to appt. and found out the quote given was just the beginning price. Now the owner who I spoke to on the phone was the one giving the quote for the services. How is it that the owner does not truthfully give the customer the correct prices for her services. It's her salon. Interesting. Every thing that I asked her in the initial conversation on the phone, once at the salon now was an additional charge really...We never discussed a military discount, so I told her that we were military. She states that the pricing already includes the military discount. Interesting again since I never said anything on the phone...so I asked you automatically give everyone a military discount...silence from her...I found this salon to be completely unprofessional, shady with costs, and lacking basic customer service skills. Black businesses must do better if they want to grow their business and receive support from the community. Lastly, don't you dare try to insult me by claiming I was at the wrong salon, like women do not know where they call and go to for hair services. Reply to Braid Empire: I would stop while I can. So asking you a question about military discount which I did and costs which you changed is having an attitude. Yet again interesting. Bad service is bad service and word of mouth can hurt a business. Just improve your services and be more professional and maybe you will get more likes than negative reviews. I will not need to call you my sister another braid salon which was very professional and the same price quoted over the phone was what was charged won.

Lisa's Hair Bar is a great salon. I always leave there satisfied. Ever since I starting going to Lisa's Hair Bar, my hair has been very healthy and it has been growing a lot more than before. I am very pleased with the results I see after my frequent visits. They have great customer service and it is a friendly environment. Lisa's Hair Bar is where it's at!

Angela is my colorist, she does a great job. The salon is very clean, every one is friendly.

Always nasty and make up prices as they go being disrespectful I will give my business BF or on fonto on chanberlayne because these people are a joke! Never spend my money with them I came for our of town and they was very disrespectful that being said they suck!
