I had been looking for someone that could cut my hair the way I wanted the first time without having to look in the mirror and ask them to fix it or go higher or shorter or whatever the case may be. When I walked in I asked everyone that was working who had the most experience with high and tight cuts. They all deferred to a woman named AJ. She gave me the top of the line package for a discount because it was my first time there. I explained to her exactly what I wanted and she started cutting. I asked her to go as short as she could, preferably with a staight razor on the sides and back. For whatever reason they can't use razors there but they use a device called a super shaver or shaper shaver or whatever its called and it actually does just a good of job if not better. When she was finished it was exactly what I was wanting. Couldn't have been happier. I called in a month and a half later to schedule an appointment with her and I came to find out that she had moved to the Decatur store. Not really that big of a deal for me since I live roughly halfway between the Decatur store and the Champaign store.

I have been going to see Lauren since November. I moved down to champaign from Chicago and transitioning from platinum blonde to brunette. And I have never been brunette in my entire life. Lauren was amazing and listening to me and what direction I wanted to go with my hair. My hair always turns out exactly how I envisioned it whether it be the cut, color, or style! She's amazing and I recommend her to anyone!

Ms. Angi's always hook me up. She is professional and does a wonderful job. If you need your eyebrows done she is the place to go.

I love Aveda products and when we moved from Fargo, ND to Charleston, I looked around for a salon nearby and discovered Allure in Champaign. Yes, it's a 50-mile drive for me, but it's worth it, and I've referred two friends at different times. I had been going to Tonya for several years and loved the haircuts and color skills she brought to my auburn (and greying) hair. We talked easily about her sweet kiddos, travel, my grandkids, etc. When she was not available, Whitney "adopted" me and gave me a wonderful short summer haircut, almost a little boy cut, and I loved it. I got compliments from my friends right away and look forward to returning in a week for my color appointment. Highly recommend this salon.

I can honestly say this was one of the best salon experiences I’ve ever had. Not only does LeAnn do an amazing job with hair, but she also shares her extensive knowledge with her clients to ensure they maintain healthy hair. Her friendliness and professionalism makes the salon a welcoming environment as well. I will definitely be returning.

I have been a customer of the Hair Company for over 20 years. I think that statement alone shows how much I love their service.

Wow, I don't even know where to start with this place. Last fall I bought a 4 visit pass. It included a facial, haircut, massage and highlights, with little perks to each visit. I started with the haircut. It wasn't the best, and I must admit I went to Great Clips the next day to get it corrected. Also, the staff couldn't do the extra "perks" because they were out of product, like paraffin for the hand treatment. I was told this happens often, as well as the staff doesn't get paid on time. While this isn't right, I don't think customers should know about this! My 2nd visit was for the massage. The massage therapist didn't show. Twice. Two times I wasted my time and money. The second time she didn't show (I was also told she does this often, but due to a contract they can't fire her(!)) I was given my facial instead. I had to ask for clean sheets as the ones that were on the table were stained and covered in hair!!! I wanted to leave after that, but felt bad because the only girl there was trying so hard to make things right. My facial was decent, but nothing I couldn't have done at home for free. I truly can't believe this place is still in business!! The staff is vocal about how they are not paid on time, how there isn't money for product, etc. True or not, this shouldn't be shared with customers. The place isn't very clean (the hair-covered and stained sheets really bothered me) as there is hair everywhere. I know that happens in a salon, but it's like they don't sweep or dust at all throughout the day. I am truly disgusted with the massage therapist's lack of professionalism. How do you keep a job when you are continually standing clients up? I ended up losing the money and not going back for my remaining 2 visits because I didn't want to pay for such a horrible time. I definitely won't be back, and I will be sure to tell anyone who asks me how this place is. What a shame
