Dr. Widen is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. I trust him implicitly and am so appreciative of the care that he and his assistant Nichole provide. I can't imagine ever going to a different dentist.

****** The best dental practice in Chicago****** I am a physician in the University of Illinois at Chicago hospitals. I visited Dr. Widen's dental office for the first time about 3 month ago. I am not easily satisfied by something but you can say he has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. He is without exaggeration one of the best dentists I have ever seen and I have seen many! He is meticulous, detail oriented and extremely experienced. For him every patient matters like member of his family. His office is not one of those offices that a dentist works on 5 patients at the same time, going from one patient to the other and then coming back. When you have an appointment, his complete attention and time belongs to you. This decreases the number of patients that can be seen per day but makes your visit very personal. He spends as much time as needed on you and explains everything in details. Gives different options to choose from and never does something on your teeth that is not necessary. In emergency situations you can call him and he will come to the office for you. One time he was working on my teeth at 10:30 pm because I had problems and did not have time to come some other time. He is very well educated and up to date in dental sciences. He has extensive experience in aesthetics dentistry and has had lots of high profile patients with different dental needs. You can see him for any problem from simple cleaning to complicated esthetics surgeries. His office manager Ms. Nichole is very nice, attentive and experienced. Their goal is to make you feel comfortable and pain free as soon as possible. I highly recommend him without any reservations to anybody with dental needs. If you want to experience dentistry like never before please visit Dr. Ron Widen's practice and you will see a first class dentistry which surpasses your expectations in any aspect.

By far the best dentist I have ever had! Dr. Widen takes his time to understand your problems and takes you step by step through various solutions. He has late night appointments as well for those who are not available during working hours. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for anything from a simple cleaning to TMJ relief.

There are plenty of dentist in Chicago to choose from. None compare to Dr. Ron Widen. Dr. Widen did not only save my teeth from utter demolition by another dentist, he saved my pocketbook. NOTE! If your dentist says you NEED a root canal. GET a 2nd Opinion from Dr. Widen! Some dentists just go that route, but a root canal is the last option for Dr. Widen. I have never felt more comfortable in the seat at a dentist. He treats you like a family member and really see's one, yes ONE patient at a time, not jumping from room to room like other not so professional dentists out there. I was also blown away by his hands on teeth cleaning skills, and extremely high tech and new equipment. I had what would normally be a painful cavity fixed in no time, and had little to no numbness later. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Widen & Nicole his assistant. They are both amazing and will treat you with the utmost care and respect. Their kindness and personalities are something that actually make you happy to come back for routine check-ups. Dr. Widen's skill is simply phenomenal. Ask yourself when's the last time you went to the dentist and had looked forward to your next visit. Probably never right? Anyone that has sought out professional health care knows that finding the right physician is a tough job. Finding someone whom really excels at what they do, and has all the characteristics that you're looking for is even harder. I've spent a considerable amount of time researching the right person, and hope that this review can help other people expedite their search. I had braces put on when I was younger and removed part way through due to migraines. I also had tetracycline staining. Needless to say I never liked my teeth, and tried to hide them most of the time. Over the years I developed TMJ. I put-off doing anything until I found what was right for my circumstances. I knew what I wanted done. Just not the best way of going about it. Most recommendations I received involved a long term plan including invasive surgery, which may or may not lead to other issues. My profession required traveling every couple years. In that time, I was able to evaluate many dental offices while having routine maintenance completed. I gleaned, and followed up on professional opinions. I researched both the physicians and procedures. As well as consulting them in person. Some items I considered. How you were received by the doctor and staff. Were they genuine and honest. Do they listen. What was the quality of time spent and the work performed. Were they knowledgeable and proficient. Was there attention to detail. How coordinated are they with there hands. How observant. How did they interact with other patients. How responsiveness were they. Was the information provided accurate and concise. Were the recommendations they provided something normally performed. Did they meet agreed times schedules. Were they flexible. Is the business run efficiently. Is there a lot of under utilized equipment, or extraneous head count. Did the staff or Doctor perform the majority of the work. Did they take in to account your history. What I found with Dr. Widen's office is that his business model is sound. Efficient. Not the usual cookie-cutter conveyer belt format common in many other practices. He and is staff are organized, and everything is prepared when you arrive. There is a mutual respect for time. He is a 3rd generation dentist and it shows. He has the education and experience required to excel at what he does. He is well rounded with good values. His practice met and exceeded all aspects my criteria. I wish other businesses would take a page form his book. In my opinion he is a master at what he does and a true artisan. I have a lot of respect for him and his staff. Highly recommended. I am very satisfied with the experience and results over the last couple years. I now live in another state and fly to have anything other than a cleaning done.
