I had a coupon so I decided to check this place out even after reading some skeptical reviews on Saturday. When we walked in, there was a server standing at the host stand that simply looked up at my guest and I and walked away. Did not acknowledge us whatsoever. We then waited about 10 min to be seated. After we received our drinks, we had to track down the server every time we needed something and the restaurant was barely full. At one point there were at least 5 servers gathered by the host stand on their phones talking amongst each other. On top of this the food was mediocre compared to other options in the Louisville area and the margaritas were watery. The service was awful. I would not waste your time on this place.

THE STEAK!! It's seasoned, possibly marinated, and totally delicious. It's eons better than most Mexican restaurants around here. Everything else we've tried has been good also, but if you like steak as your Mexican food meat of choice, this is the place for you! Service was fine, no issues.

Poor experience with rude and inattentive service. Servers and staff stay at the front podium talking or playing on the cell phone and/or eating and drinking with no regard for service or follow up for the customer. Servers had to be “hunted” down for minimal assistance to for a simple water/ beverage refill. This restaurants is in a decent location but convenience means nothing when the staff is ridiculously lackluster and poor. I refuse to spend another dime at a place that cares nothing for maintaining any reasonable level of customer service or recognition of support. The management and staff 3-6 months ago did not reflect the current image.

Consistently good food and service. I'm from NM and have been looking for the real thing all around town. El Rio Grande is authentic tasting and such a great value.

This place is tucked away off of Hurstbourne lane. It has a very friendly inviting atmosphere. This place isn't your typical mexican restaurant. Their menu is diverse and offers more than most. Their dishes are very well prepared and have an extra flare too them. They are fresh, flavorful, and extremely delicious. I must say this is my favorite place to go have an authentic most wonderful meal. Oh can't forget the Grrreat Margaritas..
