Excellent French dip and grilled cheese and tomato soup. A nice place to go for lunch. Update: Paragon will always remain a favorite of mine for lunch and now dinner! I love the atmosphere and the attentive staff. I’ve never had a bad meal here. My only complaint—can one call it a complaint—is that the portion sizes are large! Perhaps that isn’t a problem!

Went here for a surprise birthday party that went absolutely perfect. We booked a reservation for 14 people last minute and the restaurant was more than accommodating. Great food, great service, and solid atmosphere. There's a reason that Paragon has been a Pearl District staple for many years. Highly recommended.

Great service! Excellent drinks. Love the food. Had killer mussels. High end experience. They have a nice fire place in the bar and a intimate party room for up to 20 people. If Brix is crowded... go to Paragon. No waiting!

The drinks, excellent, feeling great after 2 cocktails that were well done and quite strong. The service, excellent, very attentive, friendly but not overly so. The food, honestly for the price I was expecting some exquisite tasty delights but that's not what I got. My wife and I ordered the jerk chicken and the pot roast. Pot roast was pretty good I thought, wife didn't like it - a little dry but plenty of mashed potato and savory gravy to give it some liquid. The jerk chicken was easily one of the worst dishes I've ever had for that price. There wasn't a shred of jerk spice, it was the blandest most flavorless piece of chicken I've had in Portland. If a Jamaican ate this I'd have to hold the chef down while they slapped him silly. Seriously terrible.

If you like weird high brow dining, sure. I have a less refined palate and just want a good burger (they do have a good burger here)
