This was the spot that my husband first asked me to be his girlfriend AND where he proposed. We were so excited to be able to have our wedding ceremony and reception here. Not only were the gardens in full bloom, but we got really lucky and had perfect weather! Madeline Sly did so much to help us with making our day absolutely perfect. She was prompt with responding to emails and phone calls and made sure that everything ran smoothly on our special day. Our wedding was truly perfect!

Beautiful grounds and views of the harbor. Can get crowded during nice weather. Bring a camera! As for the restaurant, if you happen to catch it while it is actually open, don't bother. Food is mediocre at best, certainly not the quality you pay for. The service is pretty awful. On a recent visit, we waited about 20 minutes to get a menu, another 20 to order, and another 30 before our food was delivered (soup and a cold salad, neither of which should have taken very long). The soup was cold and salad, bland. Server was unapologetic. The gardens are great for an afternoon walk, just get your meal elsewhere.

Today was the first time I have ever seen this place open and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, the service was terrible, the food was unimpressive, and the price was high. It took over an hour for us to get our food and it wasn't until we went inside asking about it that they said, "Oh your waitress had to leave. The food has been in the window for 5 mins, but we didn't know where it belonged." I can understand things coming up and people having to leave, but the rest of the staff didn't seem concerned about maintaining any sort of service for remaining patrons. The spanikopita dumplings had decent flavor, but came out room temperature and were definitely not worth the $10 price tag. The egg drop soup was salty and came out cold. The cold sesame noodles were soggy and flavorless. It's a shame such a great location has such poor quality dining.

Wonderful staff, the new menu is delicious, catering services were astounding at the old restaurant. Food is delicious. Building itself is absolutely beautiful, especially in the warm months.

The restaurant is never open when I'm there. However, it's an excellent spot to catch Pokemon. NOTE: the gardens are open from sunrise to sunset. Plus. This place is nestled in the middle of a quiet neighborhood so please be respectful.
