AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF SENDING ANTIQUES OR LARGER ITEMS. I booked Links Couriers to deliver an antique record player (primarily because of their swift email response time), choosing to ignore the multitude of negative google reviews. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. Despite sending them photographs and all the dimensions of the record player over a week in advance and receiving a confirmation from Dean (including that the driver would be able to help me carry the item) , I was told on the day that the item would be too large to deliver, leaving me stuck without any means of delivery for a client expecting the item the next day. After calling Dean, I was told that “some items need to be seen physically before they can authorise them”. I simply cannot understand why this was never brought up at any point in the quoting or booking process as I never would’ve booked a service with that much liability. Further, Dean suggested that my only solution for getting the record player to my client on the day that had been agreed upon over a week earlier was to pay 2.5 times the cost for the same day delivery service. Simply criminal. Or incompetent? I can’t decide…
Giving them 1 star because they at least actioned my refund quickly
P.s. Was told on the phone that all items were sorted via conveyor belt so without a doubt DO NOT use if sending antiques
