Dance Studio

Our son attended the tap dance class and our experience was pretty terrible. Our son participated for a few months of classes and grew increasingly apprehensive towards going to the class. He found the class to be extremely boring and repetitive and there wasn't absolutely anything in it to engage or make it fun for him. Towards the end he did not want to go even when promised rewards like toys or chocolate. He has been involved in many activities ranging from sports, drama, french, music and has always been very happy to participate in them. In January we paid for a costume for his dance recital which was supposed to take place at the end of the course. When we realized that he wasn't going to complete the course, we asked if it was possible to get a refund for the costume since the recital was still 4-5 months away and the costume was not ordered yet. We were told that there are no refunds for payments made by cheque. Be very aware of this rule in case you pay this studio any money. We accepted it and told them that we're ok receiving the costume then and we were planning to donate it to a clothing bank. The costume was never delivered. We called the company a few times and they first said that they didn't have any record that we had paid them the money, but they would inquire and get back to us. They never did. So we called again and we were told that we didn't pay for the costume, so there isn't one available. My wife brought them our bank statement showing that a cheque for this amount had been cashed. They were rude and basically told her to leave the studio and come back with the police. The next week we asked our bank to do an investigation and provide us with the copy of the cheque. The cheque clearly showed that they had stamped and processed the cheque and deposited it in their account. When presented with this proof, they still didn't want to issue a refund saying that payments by cheque were not refundable. Be aware that if you pay them by cash you risk not having proof of payment made and payments by cheque are not refundable. When threatened with a consumer protection complaint they said they would now be happy to send the costume, 6 months after if was ordered and many weeks after the event that it was designated for. We still have not received the costume to this day. Even though the dance lessons themselves were free for the first year, the experience that we had was a terrible waste of time of money.

My daughter has been dancing at York School of Dance for several years. We are absolutely delighted with this program. The staff at this school, especially Miss Annie and Miss Sibhon are exceptional. They demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to the dancers. The highlight every year has been the professional grade recital at the end of the year. The kids are absolutely engaged and enthralled, and it's amazing to see the progress that they make. We highly recommend this program to dancers both at the beginner level, as well as advanced.

Rhythm is the best dance studio ever! It has such a warm and welcoming vibe. I love being at part of the Rhythm compation team, and I always love my dances! I would highly recommend Rhythm to kids of all ages and levels.

George did a great job choreographing our wedding dance. My fiancé and I had no prior dancing experience and George was able to teach us all the steps in a few lessons. He is a patient teacher and overall a great instructor!

George is a phenomenal dance teacher and he throws in life lessons about marriage too! He created a routine based on our capabilities and challenged us to do things we never thought we could do. Everyone was so impressed by our "So You Think You Can Dance" worthy wedding dance! He taught both my husband and I our own parts and how to listen and feel each other's movements. Great studio for kids

Best workout ever! Even beginner classes will really build up your strength. The classes have great value and the instructors are inspiring. Clean, at great location. I would recommend this studio to those who want to start appreciating their body and strength!

My daughter has been dancing here for the past five years. After spending most of her dance years at another studio and being scared of changing studio's, the staff at SBAD welcomed her with open arms. I can't say enough good things about the teachers here. Thank You Sean, Sheona and staff for making my daughter feel like family. Keep up the great work

The best most encouraging dance teachers ever

Rythmic Rainbow is a beautiful studio, spacious yet with an intimate feel. The owner is lovely and so are the teachers and the people you get to meet in the various body-mind Classes. When I first attended a class at the studio I found myself lingering.... didn't want to leave the place. So the next day I called the owner of the studio and asked to join her team and teach at the studio. I'm so fortunate to now have more opportunities to spend time in her lovely and inspiring studio.
