Had an amazing time and experience on our family vacation and first houseboat experience! The owners were very accommodating to any needs and very quick to respond on the radio. I learned about GRK fasteners from a US friend about 4 years ago. Since then I have gone out of my way to buy these rather than Robertson head screws. I just found out about the manufacturing in Thunder Bay. They are designed to start better and the tork driver does not spin out and strip.
As for ease of use: Compare slot head to Robertson. and GRK TorK haed is just that much better.
I recently bought about $300 worth in the US for a project this summer but was happy to learn they are becoming available in Canada.

If you are visiting 1000 islands area, this is a kind of must stop. The view from above is fantastic. Knowledgeable volunteers will answer all your questions and even recommend things to do/visit in the area. Kids were definitely impressed with the panoramic view and all the islands that you can see. The tower has a rustic/old school charm and vibe. You can buy souvenirs, postcards, ice cream etc. in the shop. No dogs allowed. But there is a nice outside sitting area if you have to wait with your pup till it's your turn to go up. You don't climb all the stairs up. There is an elevator taking you to the first glass platform, and the last part is accessible only by stairs. Go. Enjoy.
