SkyFire Energy Inc installed our PV system at residence in Kelowna at the end of May. All aspects of this project exceeded our expectation. From first providing a quote, timely and competitive, Inverter and panel technology offered and scheduling, installing and commissioning the system as planned. So far, although less sun in June then most years the system is producing above plan.

The entire process of working with Lars at IPS was seamless. Lars analyzed our power consumption and helped us size a solar system for our home in Golden, BC and estimate a return on investment. He also answered all our questions about dealing with BC Hydro, which is actually a very simple process. The local crew under the direction of Lars installed the 'grid-tie' system within 2 days and the next day we were generating power back to the grid. We can use an app to track our solar production by hour/day/week/year. I would highly recommend IPS.

Just had a GREAT experience with Canadian Solar Wholesale Inc. After all other suppliers across Canada I contacted had trouble with shipping the three solar panels I needed, rather than a full pallet to make it worthwhile, Ashley and the CSW team went above and beyond to make it work! Most others didn't even bother to answer my contact email. Fantastic customer service, fast response, and the best price I found to boot. Definitely recommend!

New to RV’ing and purchased a 1994 unit that had been updated to include solar. I decided to upgrade the system as we planned to do lots of off grid camping. I soon learned I would need an expert for advice. Very glad I found Silver Lining Solar. Rick took a look and provided a plan that would provide a solid foundation that I can build on for future upgrades. He also took the time to cleanup some shoddy wiring and simplified the layout. I learned much about solar systems through the process but the most important lesson is to rely on an expert like Rick which avoided me from making costly errors on the upgrade to the system. Rick clearly enjoys enlightening his customers on solar power and takes great pride in his work. Highly recommend Silver Lining Solar and looking forward to adding a couple of more components later this year that will provide even more capability to our off grid travels.

Update: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It turns out they screwed up the installation of the panels and the city inspector failed the project. I’ve called Freedom Forever 8 times in the two weeks since the project failed the inspection and they still have not scheduled technicians to fix the issue needed for the inspector to pass the project. We have started to pay our monthly payments for the $42,000 of panels on our roof and all they do is sit there wasting my money. In hindsight, I wish I’d gone with SunRun or SunPower, I know they wouldn’t have put me through this terrible customer experience. Original review: The team that came out to install the panels, The Yankees, were all incredibly efficient and professional. They installed the panels in a half a day and the glass on the roof looks beautiful! Thoroughly impressed by the installation team! Thanks again, Yankees!!

Raphael was one of the most prompt contractors I’ve ever worked with. He came right over to look at my existing solar panels to tell me what could be done. They were extremely old, so we decided to replace them with new ones. The new ones are so nice and look so much better. Having a few issues with the system making noise. He came right back to address the issue. He’s already been paid, so this means a lot as far as I’m concerned. His pricing is great and I can’t say enough nice things about this company. If you need new or replacement pool solar panels, he’s your guy.

They installed a back up energy system with a power wall. It has worked flawlessly for the last couple of years. My 90 year old parents in law live in our suite and have never notice when we have had outages in Sun Peaks. Highly recommend Kuby energy for you off grid/ alternative power requirements. We are hoping to have them install a solar system collection/energy solution on our daughters farm in Salmon Arm.
