Never, ever purchase more than one item at a time at Michaels, and always take with you a 40% Off coupon from their website, or screenprint. If you lack either, they will give you a 40% discount if you offer your email address. Oddly enough, you don't wind-up receiving mail from them at all! These coupons don't apply for alteady discounted items, in which case buy all you like! But for a regularly priced item, always use a 40% discount coupon unless saving money is completely unimportant to you.

Favorite place! Maiwa's vision is noble and inspiring. It is a wonderful place to visit to remember what it means to be surrounded by thoughtful and loving handwork. Not only that, Maiwa fuels creativity and is simply delicious.

Was referred to this store by a Dressew staff when I asked about presser foots. Did not find what I need, and the staff did not suggest any other place I could go to.

Love these guys - huge selection of high quality fabric, and super helpful staff who will help you comb through the store, even when you're on a quest for an impossible to find, incredibly specific miracle fabric.

Spent 20 minutes in the store. Apparently they don’t have anyone that speaks English. So clearly only catering to select group of people. Possibly not a legit business.

I just noticed someone posted a 1 star review without any information. My experience with this store has been extremely good. When we were looking for metallic thread a couple of years ago, that would run in our sewing machines, someone put together a few sample spools for us to pick up and try - no charge. We ended up scrapping the idea but I definitely remember the level of service.

This is a beautiful shop with beautiful fabric in the beautiful home of a wonderfully friendly and helpful owner. Phone before you go for bus directions...the studio is only open Saturdays from 10-4. Lorna’s love for specialty fabric and for quilting is infectious. I was lured to the shop by her Noren Japanese panels which are drop down gorgeous. Her supply of Japanese handwoven cottons amd silks and batiks are impressive. She designs quilt patterns to construct simple, modern, Zen-inspired quilts and has tons of quilts on hand to give you a taste of how beautifully they sew up. Wow, what a treat...well worth trip from Ontario and a hike out on the bus which stops 2 minutes away. Save an hour or so to explore the shops of Kerrisdale, a really cute area of Vancouver. I inquired about fabric for clothing when I discovered they specialize in outdoor/indoor fabrics. But the person who answered was the nicest gentleman and I would be happy to go to this business in the future if I ever have the need. He said they do small and large orders.
