Lowe's Home Improvement

My visit today was GREAT! Older Gentleman (cant recall his name) asked if we needed assistance in light fixtures dept. Then we headed to purchase blinds that had to be cut and had an associate named Tara who was VERY HELPFUL! Both of them gave us good service on a previous visit as well. We had one visit in the blind dept. That was horrible. We spent three hours there and purchased items that we had to return. We also had a nice gentlemen in the carpet dept. (Scott) who was offered good service. We spent a lot of money in the last month and think one improvement could be to hire a few more Sales Associates.

Millennium Floors Inc.

If you are getting flooring installed, a word of wisdom, DON'T EVER USE MILLENIUM OR LOWE'S!!! They are a joke and aren't held accountable for anything. They accused us of nailing down our new floor because they don't do that...why would I go around putting nails in my new bamboo floor?!? The bull nose is not straight, parts of the bamboo are splitting and cracking (after being installed for less than 2 months), they cut our brand new trim too high, and the board behind the bull nose is not straight. We were going to continue that flooring on our entire downstairs (easily a $15K job). We will now be changing that and we most certainly won't be working with Millenium or Lowe's EVER again...not smart for the homeowners of a fixer upper...not smart!

Bucks County Carpet & Floor
4161 E Swamp Rd, Doylestown, Pennsylvania, 18902, United States
Be forewarned this place asks you for a 25.00 deposit if you want to borrow a carpet sample... not a big deal the issue that arises they will keep your 25.00 deposit even if you bring the samples back in the allotted time but choose to not give them your business. There ripping customers off for there 25 bucks if you choose to not go with them. I highly suggest going down the street to Doylestown floor and door to door floor, they will allow you to borrow samples at no cost and there prices are better..

These guys are great. We reviewed several of the local carpet installers, and we were told about Jamison Carpets by a friend who had a good experience. They were great - their pricing was more than fair, and the installation was perfect. They were professional and cleaned up everything before they left. Highly recommend!

Hudson Hardwood Floors

I used Joe Hudson to refinish the soft bamboo floors in my condo. After interviewing many people who should have known that our particular floors were very soft (Many said they were shocked at all the scratches and dents- they claimed that bamboo was the hardest flooring!), I decided to go with Joe because of his expertise and knowledge of all things hardwood. His price reflected it, since he was more expensive than the other companies who's knowledge of hardwood types were lacking. It is good to be reminded that you get what you pay for. One company said they would be done in one day! I couldn't believe that I would get good results in one day. Joe took a week to do my floors, which was fine because we had already vacated the premises. His system is dustless, which is a huge bonus regardless if you are still living in the home or not. That dust is a pain to clean up! I know, we had it done before... Back to Joe. He was professional and communicated very well, even sending pictures via text to show me his progress since I was out of town. He filled the deep gashes in my floor with the same colored putty and then followed with 3 coats of water based floor coating, then 1 coat of sealer. It is very important to note that he used water based floor coating, as many professionals stay away from it due to the tricky nature of getting a good finish. The pro's of water based system are many, but I prefer it because it is considered 'green' compared to the more hazardous oil based one. (Do your research- you'll be glad you did!) The fact that he did 3 coats is great, since other companies claimed one coat would be enough. You could be the judge of that- but my floors are gorgeous now! I went with Joe even though I didn't see many online reviews. It was totally worth it. GO WITH HIM! You won't regret it!
