Hearing Aid

It's been a horrific experience and I'm about to cancel and go someplace else. My appointment was the first week of July but they didn't submit to insurance until two weeks later. There There was missing information on my hearing aid prescription but they didn't tell me about it. I had to find out through Medi-Cal. They resubmitted more than two weeks after they got the prescription signed. Almost two months later and Rebecca emails me and told me to call Medi-Cal because she said it's still in review. So I did and found out that Medi-Cal had been waiting for information from Monterey Hearing Center. They've been waiting so long in fact that Medi-Cal denied it because Monterey Valley Hearing didn't reply. I had to call Monterey Valley hearing / Center, several times to get ahold of a manager to get my signed hearing aid prescription. however, they only sent the clearance, not the prescription. because they tried everything else so long, Medi-Cal is now telling me I'll probably have to get a new test & start over. Definitely stay away from this place.

Office was beautiful and the Staff were nice and pleasant. The receptionist even made me a cup of coffee.

I cannot thank the professionals at Monterey Valley Hearing enough: Audiologist Robert and Office manager/technician Melissa for providing ongoing support for the hearing aids I purchased. There are times when I need help with small maintenance or larger technical support--Melissa and Robert at the office are there to help: I rely on these two kind professionals to get me back out into the hearing world! What a terrible experience. At first I thought it it was generally funny how bad it was like when Dr Vandegrind said I was "imagining" things and I had PTSD from coughing.... Or how I had to actually ask him a few times to look down my throat not just shine a light it. Now I'm on my way to the ER because my "imagination" has generated a massive infection and my uvula is rediculously swollen. $300 later I was insulted and generally looked down on because.... Well... You know. My imagination. Just go anywhere else that guy sucks. PS the other five star review is from his other business below. So yeah. What a poopy person.

These are professionals who really care about their patients

ReSound lists Jacobs Clinical as a provider however when I called to purchase a hearing aid or schedule an exam to allow me to purchase one (as I already have two exams completed with a different audiologist) and was not being sent over by Beaver Medical, I was immediately told they are not accepting new patients. I asked about cash paying customers, same response. Don't bother trying here unless you are being seen at Beaver Medical.
