Home Builder

I love my home. It is very comfortable and quite. A few cosmetic issues and concerns were dealt within a reasonable time frame. The Freeport Staff are friendly and the actual Freeport product is very good. A great community environment, neighbours are very friendly, and the grounds are well maintained. Kim the Resident Deficiency Expert does an excellent job but needs the right type of people to assist her in making this complex a better one. Completion date delays seem to be a norm. Freeport needs to address this. The majority of problems lie with the sub trades they hire. Freeport needs to do a better job screening new trade staff to ensure they are qualified to do the work properly. Also a Quality Manager/Inspector should be in place to check each phase of the build to ensure everything is done correctly before continuing on to the next level. The most cost effective way is to do the job "right the first time".

Vista Estates has some of the nicest homes available on spectacular ocean view lots. It has sweeping panoramic view from Mt.Baker, downtown Victoria and the inner harbor, all the way accross the Juan de Fuca strait to the Olympic Mountains....Breathtaking!!!

They seemed like a nice builder...building a house on my street...until I asked the owner Dusty about parking their vehicles on neighbors lawns in what is a wet time of year...his response was to yell at me that he didn't care what I thought...while he and his partner laughed at me...I guess their not such a nice builder

We purchased a single wide from Tyler at Amco homes in the summer of 2017. The company was friendly and professional to deal with. In particular, when we were choosing options, Tyler had a great knowledge of Moduline's pricing and was able to suggest alternatives. The home was built exactly as spec'd and delivered to our site in the fall and we are now very comfortably living in it. I am particularly impressed with the energy efficiency of the home. I would be happy to provide a business reference for Amco Homes at any time in the future - if you need my contact information simply ask Tyler.

Can vouch for their professional and competent work.

Craig and his team are fantastic! They are quality builders that keep you informed through the whole process.

I purchased a home from them, it was nice at the beginning. 2 years later shrinking started and there long stacker who was my builder came to fix two windows for the second time and performed workmanship that was not quality and botched it. I had a professional fix the issue and they would not step up and pay the bill. They do not and refuse to admit mistakes. The home was designed incorrectly. They also use green logs, my opinion is DONT USE GREEN WOOD PERIOD!!!! This was our dream that turned into a reality HELL!!! BEWARE!! The language they use is inappropriate. There are other log crafters in Canada that are good. BEWARE!!!!!!!! They are a LIAR!!!! There log stacker that is employed by Summit built my home and the pics below there comment are photos of there repair, dented the window and how about the insulation they never put back, that is photo when we took the trim off and saw there botched work. the persons name who did it and works for them is KEITH AUSTIN!!!!!!!
