I have never used the pharmacy but for finding any type of medical supplies this is the best place in Okotoks. I have used for geriatric needs (tub insert, tub handles/railing) and braces for foot/arm/wrist/finger injuries. They offer a great selection and competitive price without having to drive into Calgary or order online. Surprisingly we also bought a Baptism gift in their small area of religious items.

My Dad stays here. Fantastic staff, he loves the food. Lots of spaces for family to sit outside of the rooms to visit. Something that is nice is they always have something for visitors as you enter, cold water on hot days, popsicles. there is main theatre area with popcorn, a few places to pray, fantasticly skilled nurses that make Dad feel pretty safe with his medication. located a short walk to the town core, it faces a park with a large pond. Has covered parking at the entrance so you can pick up and drop off the seniors with out worrying about rain or snow. Its just a wonderful place for seniors. Oh, yes the rooms are wonderful, perfect size for dad.

Staff have a difficult job, but care about the residents!

In their 90s and living independently in their condo, my parents began to decline a year ago. I live half way across the country and didn’t know how to proceed. A series of conversations with Lynn at Home Instead provided me different options, which I took a couple of months to explore. I decided to begin having Home Instead provide occasional support for my parents. Resistant parents made this a challenge but slowly, thanks to the planned, patient, persistent approach, my parents came to welcome and accept more support. Over the past year, my parents declined steeply, leading to extended hospital stays and moves into nursing homes. As if these transitions were not enough, dealing with the bureaucracy and management of underfunded public institutions provides unique challenges. At every step of this journey Brent and Lynn’s knowledge, management experience, contacts, and interventions have been unfailingly helpful. All the while, the team of caregivers supporting my parents have been wonderful, providing the dignified, conscientious support everyone wants for their aging parents. I having nothing but high praise and deep gratitude for the management and staff at Home Instead. Their expertise and excellence continue to smooth out the bumps in the rocky road of supporting aging parents. LWR—

Be very careful that your personal information doesn't fall into hands of these people in Red Deer. They will use it without your consent, and when questioned about it they will deflect blame and offer nothing but excuses.
