They won't let me leave

Past employee and veteran CNA. I hate the thought of my parents being in a home and have worked in some nasty places, I would feel fully confident if my parents (or myself) lived here. Delicious food, great staff, management that cares, and a beautiful building. 5 stars are hardly enough.

Probably be ok to live there as long as a family member lives close by to keep an eye out on what is happening, but the management leaves little to be desired. I went to clear out my aunt's unit after she passed away and when I talked to the person in the admin office about items missing from my aunt's unit, the person couldn't care less!!!! No one in the family lives in Creston and the management made no effort to be helpful. I'm sure they only wanted a quick turn around to rent out the unit again. They wouldn't even let my sister have supper in the dining room despite the fact that my aunt had paid for this until the end of the month.

My mom spent the last 3 weeks of her life in Swan Valley. She could not praise the staff enough. My mom did not have a phone, but everytime I called the nurses and staff were more than willing to make sure I connected with her. Always friendly and polite. Huge thank you to Colleen who helped my mom with mailing parcels and settling her life. My mom thought highly of you and so do I. You all made a very difficult situation so much easier.
