I have been going to the Ponderosa for 19 years with my family. I am 75 now and treasure every year I still get to go to my happy place. I find Wolfgang and Karen and their daughter Jessie to be wonderful hosts and always wanting to help make our usually two or three week stay the best it can be. This year maybe was a bit more of a challenge with some smokey days but my granddaughters still managed to get lots of water time everyday and skied and learned to wakeboard. We find the place well maintained. Someone said about the gravel, yes it is a lake not the ocean we always come home with a few of those rocks a lot more when the girls were small. It is not a spa like resort it is a family friendly place were everyone can relax and enjoy themselves. We were evacuated because of a fire last Sat. night sorry to have missed some of my time this year. Try it out it just might become your happy place.

This sanctuary is HUGE time solitude! Careful , strategic planning on the layout of the resort so each has privacy in its natural atmosphere. So quiet and the scenery is calming. Looking towards the northern valley with many layers of mountain terrain you can spend hours loosing yourself in the beauty nature provides.

What a terrific and beautiful place. Very nice grassy sites. Incredible service and super friendly, helpful staff. Very clean washrooms and shower facilities. Will definitely be back.

Very good quality. Professional staff. Installation of quart counter top and cabinets was excellent. Michele designed an upper section for wine glasses and bottles; just awesome. Everyone loves it. Thanks. I recommend anyone to utilize this great company.
