I’ve mostly only worked with Dennis but the rest of the staff is great. I’ve been to a good handful of mills throughout Michigan, and this place has earned my business. They’re extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I came in looking for teak and after pricing it out (which price is market controlled) Dennis offered great alternatives for 1/5 the price! Saving my client a ton of money. And if my client is happy, I’m happy. From tinkers to pros; would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

11 months ago When the coronavirus hit and the governor of ohio put the stay at home order in place I asked the plant manager if he would be ok if I took some time off because my wife has bad asthma he told me not a problem just use all your personal time off first. So I did. I checked with him and my department manager and also my supervisor several times to make sure it was ok that I was off and all I was told is that it was ok and they have my back. Next thing I know on 4/13 I was laid off. And then on 6/3. I received a letter saying that my employment with Carter lumber will be terminated on 7/12. Without any reason in the letter why. I had to call the human resource department to find out why and they said my position was eliminated. Huh.. and this is all carried out by men who claim to know and have a relationship with God. Wow. This is what the scriptures mean when it says that my name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you. Very sad....
