I would recommend Tomari to anyone from beginners to fighters. Don is very passionate about what he does and that translates to his classes. Always a great atmosphere to be in. The man knows what he's talking about and if you listen, you'll leave each class having learned something new.

Every class is a constant reminder to me of the unlimited potential of what our bodies can do! No matter how I feel walking in, the great people, Instructor Polvo's instruction, and the satisfaction from hard work and sweat leave me feeling energized every time.

I trained at Tong Moo Do for many years, eventually earning my 2nd Dan Black Belt. I joined the school as an adult and found it to be a transformative experience. It was the birthplace of a new, physically active lifestyle which I maintain to this day. The instructors are excellent; encouraging students to push themselves, and creating a safe, fun, challenging environment. An increased sense of discipline, and a focus on improvement in all of life's activities are some of the habits I learned during my training. Beyond that, TMD fosters a 'friends and family' atmosphere, and it's a place I always looked forward to going. I recommend it to anyone!

My son has been going to Castlegar Martial Arts for the past 3 months. I've noticed HUGE changes in his confidence level and major reductions in his anxiety. Chad and Irie (the instructors) are incredibly patient and understanding. They teach the kids discipline and structure in a way that the kids have a blast doing it. The location is convenient and the room is so bright and cheerful. I would absolutely recommend Castlegar Martial Arts to anyone who asks. :)
