UFAI is an incredibly welcoming place place to train no matter your level or goals. Whether you want to try Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Striking, Self Defense, Aiki Jitsu, or Tae Kwon Do, this is the place. All of the instructors are passionate about what they teach and want to see you grow on and off the mats. Kru Ballard is the only KMA/WMO International Coach recognized by the Thai Ministry of Culture in the U.S. The instructors are very skilled in their chosen martial art and didn’t just pick this up as a hobby a few years ago and turn into teachers. I’ve been in a lot of gyms where instructors and members don’t respect or take women seriously and that is not the culture at UFAI. Everyone recognizes that we’re all there to get better and it feels more like family after just a few classes. Come check it out!!

Authentic awesomeness

My son started going to Hathaways TKD 4 years ago. since then our whole family joined the dojang. we enjoy going to this martial arts school, where you can find a perfect balance of serious instruction and fun. It s a great place to learn not only martial arts, but built a whole sense of community. kids as well as adults enjoy going there for Master Hathaways instructions. its very rare to see a 6th, still instruct himself a beginner's classes. master Hathaway enjoys teaching to all, either a 5 year old white belt or a 50 year old 4th Dan, He gives every student the same importance. if you are looking for a martial arts school for your kid or yourself, this is the place to go. Self defense, sparring, patterns, etc... Go, give it a try, you ll love it. I love it!!!

Came here to learn how to box, left two years later completely satisfied! Strong focus on technique over cardio, although a good cardio workout will certainly be attained. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area.

The best dojo in vermont. Sensei Rick and Sensei Chad are the best. Great mma training and by far the best Koroken style of martial arts. Everyone is treated with the upmost respect, from the beginner to the black belt, all treated equally
