This is an excellent family business and I have been going to them for several years. They listen to their customers and are continually updating their schedules to try and give the best experience to all of their students.
Karate classes are available for all skill levels/ages, from 'little dragons' to full black-belt students. If you are interested in competing join with several students who have repeatedly represented the school in the WKC World Championships.
Along with their Karate programs they also offer several great exercise classes - conditioning, circuit training, self defense, and kickboxing (my current personal favorite).
If you are interested in trying out a Karate school in Barrie, I highly recommend you check out this company (Dojo's are available in both North and South Barrie).
Pro Spar Martial Arts Centre
40 Bell Farm Rd #7, Barrie, Ontario, L4M 5L3, Canada
Both my son's started at Pro Spar 2 months ago. My boys were very timid in life in general.
Gary and the students have helped my boys gain the confidence they need for life in general.
I am very happy with this dojo as in the past I found them to be intimidating.
5 stars for Pro Spar and high fives to Gary.

Master Khechen's Martial Arts Academy

Our daughter has been coming here for about 3 years now. All of the instructors are amazing with the children there. The best part is it's in a safe and fun environment for the kids to learn and work together while they grow to become part of the team.

Kin-Tora Martial Arts and Fitness Center
1827 Niagara St, Buffalo, New York, 14207, United States
I take aikido at Kin-Tora and it has made Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays the best days of my week. Everyone is kind, understanding, and they work together to help each other improve. Shihan James is an amazing teacher who both challenges everyone to push past their comfort zone and breaks techniques down to make them more understandable. Shihan Judy is super kind and is patient with us when we're struggling. And of course, Shihan Mike is a rockstar technician and punmaster. Honestly, I have the most fun and am the happiest when I'm on the mats with my fellow aikidoka. I've made my best friends here and it's like I gained an extra family.
Sensei Nick runs an amazing dojo and I highly recommend taking any martial art there, although I'm totally partial to the aikido.
Gold Summit
255 Great Arrow Ave #Suite 112, Buffalo, New York, 14207, United States
I've taken the Iron Fist Boxing (IFB) kickboxing class here, and have to say it is a blast. This isn't your DVD-special "Kickboxercise" class, but the real deal, packaged in one heck of a workout. I've never seen a workout or Martial arts place with such a friendly and supportive atmosphere, as opposed to a competitive, hierarchical one.
The timed solo and pair drills that make up a large portion of the IFB class mean you work as hard as you personally are willing, so everyone from those in shape to those not quite so in shape (myself included) can all work at a pace challenging to them. The focus of personal improvement gives one an open-ended goal that got me eating healthier and working out more even outside of class, as I wanted to improve myself so I could do better.
All in all, I feel I can safely recommend this establishment to anyone looking to better themselves, either in terms of skills or general physique. The inviting atmosphere makes it easy to start out, and perhaps you'll get hooked like I did. Enjoy!
