Movers

Thank you so much Personal Movers for such a great experience with Ruben and Alex! It is so wonderful to meet such hardworking and honest people who took great care in making sure none of our walls or possessions were damaged in any way. Even though we had to make two trips for all our items, Ruben and Alex were efficient with time and we never felt taken advantage of time-wise. We booked our movers only 5 days prior to our move-in date and the customer phone service was efficient re: the quote/very reasonable price, accomodating with the short notice date and the email response detailed/concise (including the contract). No hidden fees the day of as everything was detailed in the contract that was emailed previously. They made sure to ask before moving day about us requiring mattress covers, runners or if we are moving any exercise machines (extra charge) so no surprises with any extra charges. Would definitely recommend this company!! - Patricia and Dennis

Best movers...

Didn't personally get them but neighbor did. They parked in front of my house and I couldn't get in. I asked them to move 3 times before the pulled forward. I asked them to park accross the street as there were no houses there. They just backed straight up again after letting me into my house this blocking me in. Had to go out later and again an ordeal to get them to move. In one word horrible!!!! Stay away from them rude and unprofessional.

Extremely professional, quick and friendly service. The move was done so quickly and efficiently. I will definitely call them again and highly recommend them!

Correspondence with this company was the first thing that attracted me to them. We were moving from Toronto to a rural area in British Columbia (6 hours from highway 1). They were always quick to reply to my emails and help with all the info I needed. The movers who picked-up our items were very thorough and packed things very carefully. They worked quickly and were friendly and helpful. Although it took longer for our things to arrive than we had anticipated (it was about 3 days instead of 1-2 days), when things arrived they were in fine condition and the movers were friendly, careful and fast. No huge surprises on the billing which was my biggest worry. I would definitely use this company again.

These movers were great. There were three of them, they showed up on time, completed the job in three hours and didn’t mark up a single wall/ damage any of our belongings - impressive! Thank you

They are very friendly, prompt and efficient; very professional.

What a positive, amazing experience! I would highly recommend this company to load your home belongings for your move! We haven't seen the unloading yet at our destination, but in the Calgary guys that came to our house were professional, and most of all super hard-working! I kept insisting they take a break to eat, but all they did is a few small smoke breaks. They really wanted to complete the job. They worked so hard, from 9 am to 7:30 at night. We did the containers vs the truck so we could have storage (30 days for no charge). We had 6 estimates before deciding on Campbell, and this company came in the lowest. We purged the 2600 sq ft house a week before the movers were due to arrive and as a result, shaved off $4000 off the $15,000 estimate (moving from Calgary to Montreal) but if we hadn't, I felt secure knowing that they would absorb the cost of anything over 10% above the weight they estimated (around 16000 lbs) Excellent company, excellent service!!!

They used 15 minutes of my time to smoke cigarette and billed me for it. We called the customer care line and the person threatened to drop the call while I was trying to explain.

Go Sparta Go! We strongly recommend Sparta Movers to anyone looking for packing, storage and moving services in Calgary! Pleasant and prompt office staff clearly communicated all the aspects of the job. They sent an estimator to our home to do a walk around and then provided an accurate quotation. We received notifications prior to packers and then movers arrivals. Sparta is partnering with major storage facilities in Calgary and offer great discounted rates on storage services! The crew arrived on time and worked tirelessly and very professionally. the move was completed within the budget quoted even though we have expanded the scope a little.

They did a great job, and Laurie's customer service was top notch!

I don't typically leave reviews but this company deserves recognition... Big Joe's was recommended to us on a community Facebook group. We interviewed and considered 3 other moving companies; Big Joes was only one of two who came to our house to provide a quote (I had heard stories about companies who gave quotes over the phone and ended up grossly over-charging because they didn't actually know how much stuff you had) and I immediately got a good feeling from Joe. Our house purchase fell through a week before we were to move out of our current home; understandably this was pretty upsetting but when I called Joe, he told us not to worry about them, that they had a storage facility they would store our stuff at if needed, and they would show up the following week whether to move us into a new home or into storage. Joe stored our stuff for free for 6 weeks while we waited to take possession of a different home. The movers worked hard and efficiently even though it was a rare spring blizzard when we moved in. A framed jersey was damaged (could have been from the cold) and they offered to fix it at their expense. We have a number of antiques and things that are very fragile and they took good care of them. I can't say enough good things about this moving company and about their owner Joe. I highly recommend them to anyone. They might not be as cheap as some of the other guys, but their prices are competitive and we are very happy with the service! You won't be sorry supporting this small, local company.

Excellent to work with, hard working, reliable and great rates! A very detailed quote was provided, very satisfied with quality of work and service.

Fantastic Company to deal with!! Great office staff and wonderful moving crews!! They were efficient and friendly and extremely Polite!!
