Optometrist

The most detailed and high-tech eye exam ever! Dr. Knight is very thorough and knowledgeable. Very honest. Very professional. The best optometrists I have ever been to.

Had an appt scheduled with Dr. Lee for tomorrow, which was scheduled weeks ago. They called to confirm this morning, and then called me back at 5 pm to say that they had realised the Dr didn't start until 1 and they needed to move my appt to later in the day, which I could not do, so they said they would have to reschedule me. I opted to find a new optometrist. ***I amended this to 2 stars as Dr. Lee called me herself this morning to say that she'd stay late if that's what it took to get me in today, which I appreciated even though I've already made a new appt elsewhere. Too late, I'm afraid.***

I love this place! 180 Optometry has a great selection of frames and they have Maui Jim's!!!! They have the largest selection of Maui Jim's that I've seen in the Kitsilano area and trust me, I've looked at a variety of places! Dr. Janey is super nice and she does a thorough exam! Her prices are definitely reasonable compared to other places in Kits that can charge up to $160 for an eye exam and those places don't spend very much time answering your questions like Dr. Janey does. 180 Optometry has me as a patient for life!

Great staff.

A friend of a friend works here, so I try with this place, but have gotten two negative impressions in a row.

So i got my glasses here, and every time i wear them i get the best best compliments. Not only are the glasses themselves lovely (Carolina Abram, can't get anywhere else!) but the reason they are so great on me is because of who helped me. Amaia helped me pick them out, and she was patient, and encouraging, and has such great sense of style & function. I will never get glasses without Amaia's input :) ever! Thank you!

Friendly and professional staff and doctors

Rupnow's prescription was incorrect. I had to ask her to redo the prescription, and the lenses which were made through an optician had to be redone. This wasted about approximately 2 months of my time and I missed out on my first winter vacation in 8 years. I really needed that vacation.

The staff is very helpful and is always in a cheery mood! They are also very good at helping someone find the right pair of glasses that fits their taste!

Great experience! Kind, warm, thoughtful staff who were thoughtful and professional throughout my entire visit. Both Eileen and Dr. Hannah Han were lovely! I will definitely return in the future.

M.Corso (Ravenwing is my jewelry making name) This place is the most friendly, caring, concerned about my health than any other over my 68 years. From checking in, the techs performing tests to the amazing Dr. SAMPLES, and his Tech Amy, the entire team is fantastic. I'm losing sight in my right eye and they are going to to do every thing possible to save it. I couldn't recommend them more highly! I'm so lucky to have been referred to them. They actually care about you as a person, not a source of revenue. Extremely caring and competent.......best there is!!

I had an opportunity to shadow Dr. Sehn and meet Dr. Weinerman and I can say that this is an amazing place to go to for all your eyecare needs and services! I have never been in a more welcoming atmosphere. The clinic was beautifully decorated. Dr. Sehn is very knowledgable with the work she does and is very patient to answer all my questions. I can say 5+ stars in all aspects!

An extremely pleasant, quick, and informative experience. Dr. Anita Narang was engaging, personable, kind and gentle with both myself and my son. So very happy with this choice of optometrist! The positive reviews were spot-on and are what helped me to pick an eye doctor for my family. A huge thank you to Anita and the ladies at the front desk! We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

I have had several visits over time with the Oak Bay Optometry and found their products and service excellent. They are very skilled in setting the trifocals to meet my needs, Dr P is great in that he takes the time to listen to my individual needs and has fitted my glasses perfectly.( In addition, his devotion to service in underdeveloped countries with helping people see goes beyond the bar.) The staff are very accommodating, very friendly without exception and helpful in making minor adjustments, and offering tea and coffee and providing free cleaning fluid for glasses. In addition, they are very professional both in appearance and manner making older folk like me feel totally comfortable with declining sensory competencies. As a person who has worked in the professional role of hiring and supervising staff in healthcare, I commend the leaders and staff at Oak Bay Optometry for a job beautifully executed.
