Well I can say my experience dealing with Vern's Plumbing & Heating was an atrocious one. After informing my landlord of a toilet blockage she called "Vern" in front of me and promised a quick resolution. A week later he'd not shown. Upon her contacting him again he showed, was gruff, rude and managed to clear the blockage. Partially. It was blocked again within hours as he stated he was in a rush to leave and surprise! Didn't do the job properly. Contacted my landlord who contacted him multiple times over the next 2 1/2 weeks while I had literal sewage fermenting in my bowl and toxifying my apartment. Finally he could finally be bothered to inform her that he had decided against finishing the job he started and failed to complete. She bought me a proper plunger and we did the job that this "Plumber" couldn't within 2 minutes. The near month I spent waiting for him to behave like a professional could have been spent consulting someone capable of handling their business like a competent plumber instead of an arrogant child playing pretend. I would have literally been far better off without waiting for his "service". I'm genuinely sorry that I helped contribute to this man's business or profit whatsoever. My gratitude for your excellent service Vern! The glowing review was well deserved. You earned it

Fox Heating performed an "industry standard" priced WETT review of my existing wood stove installation. It failed, as likely will yours. My request to get a written report was ignored. It would have provided me the details I needed to address deficiencies myself, or to evaluate the fairness of its subsequent bid to provide a compliant installation. Such a report is supposed to be provided according to the sanctioning authority for these inspectors. I did not go further. Fox may be a great contractor, I'll never know. Try to find a WETT inspector who will give you a free quote for any work he might deem necessary to achieve a compliant installation. The non-compliance of your installation will be visible to an inspector at a glance. I have since obtained another quote based on the same photos and information I provided Fox without a site visit, or paying for another inspection.
