Very good food and excellent service. I would recommend the wings, 10 oz steak, and the mango sorbet. I enjoyed the food, and the wait was very short.

The food was decent, especially the Shanghai noodles and the chow mein. The garlic crispy beef was rock hard though, so I don't recommend that. Service was curt but efficient, so no complaints there. Overall, a decent experience but not itching to return.
I realize they are getting a lot of negative reviews in relation to a news article involving racist servers. The article also claims that the restaurant is now under new ownership. I ask you to verify facts for yourself instead of jumping to conclusions. As a coloured individual, I will do so myself before deciding to return here.

Bannock is a perfect place to have a meeting or for a short caffeine escape at downtown Toronto. The people there always helpful and nice to you. Also it has a great selection of sandwiches. It is also located in a very convenience place at Bay and Queen.

i usually don't write bad reviews but this is the most uninviting place. The servers look so upset for no reason. It wasn't even busy, all I wanted was guacamole and chips. The brown guy gave a bit of attitude and I wasn't even rude. Poor customer service, and the food wasn't good. Guacamole wasn't fresh and it was really salty. At least at taco bell, they treat you more nicely.

I had been warmly welcomed in this restaurant. The food was excellent, waiters were eager to give sound advice regarding different menu options. I definitely recommend this restaurant, though prices are a bit more expensive than average.

Went here with a work party and though we had to be seated at two different tables, the service was friendly and attentive. Appetizers were delightful - we had the calamari (bonus battered asparagus was great), gyoza, chicken bites, and sweet potato fries. I had the steak and sushi which was delicious but I thought there would be more steak than the strips they gave. Elderflower Collins is a new cocktail favorite. I'd love to try this place again.
