Credit/Debt card users be aware! The employees swipe your card twice without your knowledge and authorization. It blocks your transaction on the bank’s end and causes your card to decline, even though you have over $200 in the account. I had to call the bank in order to unblock my card and pay with cash. I’ve never had any credit card issues at Panda Express so this was by far the worst one ever. The food is good but the employees are not and incompetent of transactions. So again, be aware!

Was seated near the door. Breezy at 50 degrees outside. Hadnt started ordering. Asked to change seats. Was told no seats available. Looked around and saw the restaurant atleast 70% empty. Here is your thank you host.

Its always good...but not as good as i remember it from like 20 years ago. My husband had salmon here and another restaurant and said both were dry. I love the shrimp scampi. The desserts are always amazing..dessert prices here and other places are a bit high. As always its so busy and i avoid the mall on weekends 99% of the time. Service was much better for our party than it was the first time i came to this location with just my son. The decor never disappoints. This was my sons choice for his birthday.

Seems like there's a new Filipino spot opening up weekly in Cerritos/Artesia. Amalia's Bakeshop & Restaurant replaces Gourmet 99 Cents, whom replaced Eriel's Bakeshop. Looking for some breakfast to tide me over in the morning, I swung by to check out what Amalia's had to offer. A Filipino bakeshop would be remiss without the usual suspects, such as hopia & pan de sal. I decided on items more savory to enjoy. Stuffed pork pan de sal- An inner core of BBQ pork like you find in siopao (cha siu bao), engulfed by a pan de sal shell, these were good, albeit heavy on the bread & light on the pork. Chicken empanadas- The chicken empanadas were a bit oily & overdone. I like a flaky crust, but these were more on the burned end of the spectrum. The filling was okay, but I prefer Luisa & Sons. Arroz caldo- Rice porridge that's the Filipino version of the Chinese congee, the arroz caldo was a filling portion. Made with rice, sweet rice, ginger, green onions, garlic, thick pieces of shredded chicken, hardboiled egg and all the rest of the accoutrement, I highly enjoyed slurping down my rice porridge. Hot dishes, such as pancit, fried rice & BBQ items are available on the menu, but I was there early & they weren't ready for purchase. I've heard the hot foods aren't kept under heat lamps and/or buffet trays, so I would be cautious to be safe. Service was good. The guy working there was busy in the kitchen & I had to holler to let him know he had a customer. The arroz caldo took around 5 minutes. Minimal seating, with 2 tables & a TV. Packaged goods, like Skyflakes crackers & vinegar bottles, are displayed by the entrance. Parking is in a private lot at the NS Plaza. Amalia's is adjacent to Red Eye Fish, Kiko's & DJ Bibingkahan. There's a lot of competition out there for you, Amalia's. For me, you had some hits (arroz caldo), and some misses (chicken empanadas). Nothing stands out & compels me to frequent this place. Perhaps offering specials or what not will help Amalia's make a name for itself amongst the fierce competition against it.

See my photo: No Host or waiter came out from kitchen for 10 minutes. There is security camera covering the front, they must have seen me? Or not. One young couple in a booth, no food or beverages. When waiter finally comes out from kitchen, I ask if any booths or tables have electrical outlets. "No" he says, only one in the back, it is occupied. Sure enough, a homeless lady, with a suitcase & belongings has taken refuge here at 3:30AM. Then, waiter tells me an outlet is near front door "behind Han Solo". Sure enough, I find it. But I needed to upload photos I took yesterday, and I had hoped to get coffee & pancakes. "Don't get cocky on me, Kid!" Han tells me, there's other Denny's in this Galaxy. Thanks, Han! You're right. "Don't everybody thank me at once!" Hyperslace activated, off I go....

Yogurt drink is good

The wait staff was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing, everything is moderately price and the wait time was small. This place is perfect for a date night.
