Max's is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Azusa and the surrounding cities. The next best Mexican restaurant is the Max's in Monrovia. Chips and salsa are legendary. They make their own guacamole and sour cream. Every dish will leave you wanting to come back for more. The wait staff are all warm and friendly and extremely attentive even at their busiest.

They have s nice variety of tacos, burritos, tortas, panbazos, licuados and bionicos. The staff doesn't look like they want to be here or haven't been trained well. Fruit wasn't cut right (chunk of pineapple core in my bionico), carne asada had grizzle in it. Cashier didn't know what kind of cream they used on their bionicos...$2 for a Sangria soda was also a bit high. I won't be coming back.

Love this place. Great food, Awesome drinks. Staff is great. Bartenders have no problem fixing drinks if you're not happy. The outdoor patio is a great place for an evening dinner.The atmosphere here is great. Music is set at perfect level were you can still have a nice conversation. Located in downtown Azusa.

If I could give La Tolteca a higher rating I would. I have been coming here for over 2 decades. It is family owned and run. The food is FANTASTIC and the prices are GREAT!!!

Ok, so let me start by saying... if this is the first time you are dining here, you would not go wrong with trying the sampler.
After my boyfriend introduced me to this place I will never eat any other ribs again!
Everything that is on the menu is to die for. The sides aren't very big because the meat portions are large.
If you love barbecue this is the place to eat.
When I had leftovers I was hesitant to eat it the next day but Even after a day in the fridge it taste great!
I would highly recommend to eat what you order the same day though.
