If you're looking for a solid place to go in Maple Ridge for good food and drinks, you can't go wrong with the Kingfisher. It's a bit small and can fill up fast, but the decor is really top notch and the service has always been impeccable every time I've been there. Also, the best patio in town during the summer.

The food was so good. Have a bit of everything and share plates. We were there on barbecue night. The drinks were exceptional. I wish they'd post the drink menu on the website so I can recall the name of the drink. Here is my one issue. They don't take reservations for under groups of 8. However they use this "sign your name in the book beginning at 2:30 Saturday so you can get on the list for Sunday" method. Out-of-towners won't know to do this. So, I'm hoping they will change this. And, let's be clear-- it won't stop me from going back. On top of great food and drinks the service is really good.

Exceptional food meets really good service. The menu is a carnivore's dream but there are a couple of veggie choices. They offer a couple of exotic dishes such as wild boar and venison, as well as more traditional fare. A limited but adequate wine list and a knowledgeable staff to help with pairings. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and did I mention the good service?

New owners. Food was timely, service was great and friendly, clean, food dishes we ordered were vegetable beef and was awesome, orange chicken, again, awesome...even added a side of brocalli to it. Small soup could serve family of 4 easily. Definitely worth trying and staying local.

It is as advertised. Classic central-European comfort dishes, made hipster modern.
The main dish was very satisfying. The protein was the canvas upon which the flavours are painted.
The dessert was severely over-complicated. 7-8 different flavours/textures, served "deconstructed" in tiny amounts. Not sure how to eat it and portions are too small to experiment.

1st day on their awesome harborview patio this year and the view was awesome just after sunset. Their nachos are EXCELLENT (lots of cheese, olives, jalapenos... served hot and gooey! Only thing was the service was quite slow. They weren't super busy so that wasn't the reason and there were only 5 tables seated outside so that couldn't be it either. It took quite some time after we sat to be even noticed and asked about drinks and then again when we wanted to leave, it took a while for them to notice... we eventually just went up to the till inside.

This place has the most amazing Aroma outside as you can smell the barbecue before you even get in the door. The food is amazing here! If you're a meat lover it's a must-try. I was amazed even with the beans as they had a Great Smoky taste too.

Wife and I came in from Alberta on holidays and we decided on this place for some italian. She ordered the fettuccini rose, and I ended up on the 12oz rib eye. Two words to describe that steak. Absolutely. Perfect.
Medium rare is the chefs specialty.
My wife was blown away by her pasta. Flavorful sauce, fantastic aromas and a very pleasant and accommodating staff. If you need a great place to eat in the Sunshine Coast with character and a great smile, look no further then this Alberta Certified spot of heaven.
