I have known Dr. Thomas for over 20 years and followed her from Caledon East to Mono. We travel from Alliston for all the dogs we have had, and a couple of cats as she is just the BEST. I wish I could add a star.

A series of serious failures! My six-year-old Pomeranian died after what I believe were serious failures in informed consent, communication, monitoring, and emergency response.
He underwent invasive abdominal surgery despite being relatively stable. We were promised a call from Internal Medicine or Anesthesia before surgery, but no one contacted us. Additional tissues were also sampled beyond what we understood we had consented to.
Internal Medicine repeatedly raised severe IBD or lymphoma as the reason for biopsy. Yet the jejunal biopsy was normal, and we were never told this while he was alive. After surgery, he developed severe bruising and GI bleeding despite a known bleeding disorder. On his final day, he had pale gums, abnormal breathing, CRP rising to 153, and PCV of 29%, yet we were still told he was stable. When we entered the ICU, he was already in severe distress, and escalation to a doctor was delayed.

Animal Clinic Of Brooklin
105 Winchester Rd W, Whitby, Ontario, L1M 1B5, Canada
I've been going to Animal Clinic of Brooklin for years with my horde of cats and dogs. They are very helpful and always now what to do to help my pets. Dr. Strickland is always great with my animals even when the don't want to help with their treatments. And the reception staff is always so friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets!!!
