Veterinarian

This is a kick-ass team. We have known Dr Richards in particular for several years and she has the most extraordinary 'animal-side' manner - she loves and cares and knows her stuff or strategizes hard to get information in unusual situations. We have also been able to see the other vets from time to time and this really is a power team - well recommended.

Doctor Mike has been caring for my family's pets for 20 years and we would never trust anyone else. Always gives you a diagnosis and shares knowledge about why something is occuring.

Love him. My dog almost died and he saved her. He went over and above tending to her and figuring out that she had addison's disease.

Our 14 year old Shih Tzu has been having a lot of problems and we took him to see Dr. Angela Granacki whose been treating him since we move to Virgil 8 years ago. She spent an inordinate amount of time with us giving us a few options including the one we were dreading. However, after much discussion on all sides we went with a drug therapy which we'll try for a month to see how Freeway does. We still may have to choose for his sake to let him go but we know if that is the final outcome Dr. Angela will be there with us to help us all thru. This is a very caring facility from the girls at the front desk to the doctors and behind the scenes staff. We highly recommend Upper Canada Animal Hospital.

Dr. Downey and his staff are amazing! We have both dogs and cats that are treated by this team and we always know Dr. Downey cares for them as if they were his pets! This team has helped us with all stages of care...from bringing in a puppy for their 1st visit or helping make the heartbreaking decision all pet families face....this team has always been there with us! We recently had a situation where our 2yr old dog suffered from an illness that left her paralyzed. Dr. Downey helped us through the best decision we ever made.....to be conservative and non-invasive and 6 weeks later shes walking on her own! If you are looking for a compassionate, honest and the "non-business feel" of a veterinarian....Companion Care has figured it out!

DO NOT Bring your animal to this dump. Mcbride DOES NOT CARE about your pet. If you call with a concern they take days to get back to you, If they refer you anywhere they make you do the research to find names/contact info. They have very little knowledge/expertise in animals. The office is dirty and staff/vets are rude. If you care about your animal do not bring them here.
