We held our staff retreat there last night and had an amazing time! The staff we're so helpful and generous, the venue was beautiful, and whole process from start to finish was seamless. Thanks to Kristin who helped us organize and who was incredibly supportive throughout the night.

Besides the inconvenience of parking (this is normal for a Toronto venue) everything else was great! LOVED the food, it was a pleasure photographing another awesome wedding here.

Good venue with dining options

We had our wedding reception here this summer, the space is very interesting and that is why we chose it, however we had some serious communication issues leading up to the event (they had a change-over in staff that caused this) there were efforts made to amend these. However, on the day of it was sweltering hot in there and when we tried to find the coordinator to do something about it she was no where to be found. When we got hold of her she informed us that she was doing a tasting with another potential customer somewhere else and could not leave! We spent nearly $9,000 to use the space and yet they had no one representing us. When we reached out following the wedding we were told that they looked into "this hiccup" and blamed it on us using outside caterers (and they made it too hot in there) however, when we booked with them they did not even offer catering, so of course we used outside catering! People left during speeches and the band we spent so much money on was a bit of waste because everyone was too hot to dance. In the end they gave us $250 for this major major problem and continued to blame us. Unacceptable.

This place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. I've never run an event where the owners and staff were so helpful and accommodating. The rates are extremely reasonable, and the amenities are fabulous.

I visit Toronto Island almost every weekend in the summer and the beach by Gibraltar point (east of Artscape past the jetty) is by far THE BEST in the GTA. Very few pebbles, ultra soft and tropical-like sand once you're a few feet away from the beach, complimented by crystal clear waters and lush surroundings. I'm so glad not a lot of people know about this spot (as they usually go to Center Island or Hanlan's Beach). Do try to visit before noon to avoid the few crowds that known of this hidden treasure, or come past sunset and start a bonfire.

For 80 -90 a person, the dinner cruise was just perfect. The menue had a wide variety of food that was very enjoyable. Not to mention, the service was great. Kai (may be wrong spelling) gave my guests a pleasant experience that made the night truly unforgettable. For reference it was a dinner cruise on the show boat.

I hosted a corporate dinner in the One Room and it was great. The rest of my party couldn't stop raving about how good the food was and what a nice ambiance it was.

I've been to one wedding reception and two formals here. The staff are exceptionally good at their jobs. They are great at customizing plans to meet your needs, and they execute plans flawlessly. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic venue for a wedding or ball

No longer a restaurant but a gorgeous old Toronto building and pretty decent place to host a business function. Have been to a number of things here, very conducive space for all sorts of events.

Spacious lobby area for exhibitors at events. Lots of natural light makes it an inviting space. Wish patio was set up better.

Service no good, not recommending to anyone, bad attitude.

Came with my sister to Back to Prom event organised by Blythwood School. Passed hors d'oeuvres were fantastic.The staff were very friendly and drinks were fairly priced. Perfect midtown location, easy to find parking. Beautiful venue!

Elegant setting, courteous staff and a menu selection to fit any occasion and budget. Our family has had two very special occasions at Ellas recently and we have been more than impressed each time. Your events are executed without a hitch - at least none that we have ever been aware of - and that's what matters. Thank you Ellas for making our family feel at home at your banquet facility and for ensuring that our guests were treated like we would treat them in our own home.
