We had our wedding reception here and could not have imagined a more beautiful spot.

Beautiful venue for a wedding...my only suggestion would be for the park owners to figure out a better way to deal with all the yellow jackets...they were bad! The flower girl was stung and it was almost impossible to stand in line for food without being swarmed...I would recommend for parties but not during bee season until this issue is addressed 😕

Patricia is a fantastic photographer to work with. She's professional but also extremely personable and makes you feel so comfortable. She's done a few different photoshoots with me, and every time the pictures are incredible. She puts herself in her work whole heartedly. I highly recommend her!

We had out wedding reception at Ambrosia on Oct.1 2017 and was greatly impressed by the effort of the staff and management. As promised, the food was very good and the cheesecake was the best I had ever had. The owner is the chef and is able to cook many types of cuisine. We chose our meal as buffet style and had many options and more than enough food per person. We felt that the staff was very laid back but got the job done timely. Over all we felt that the planning was effortless and the staff helped us to have a great wedding reception for us and our guests. We are from the U.S. and planned the whole event through email. Great outcome!

Fun multipurpose space with bar and dancefloor. Lots of great events.

FREE music in the summer on weekends at lunch hour and some evenings. A quiet crowd. Great for children. You're in the middle of Beacon Hill Park and they can run around during the music quite safely and nobody minds. I've seen little kids dancing to the music at the front. ACCESSIBLE for power chairs, mobility scooters, and power wheelchairs. The grass is reasonably level and quite firm. Public toilets nearby. Take the kids! Take the grandparents! Surrounded by trees and grass it's cool on a hot day. Better than Centennial Square which is all cement. Take a lawn chair for a shady spot or sit to the far left for shade.

Great place for quality framing in the heart of Victoria's Chinatown. I'm so happy with the art pieces I had framed at Dales. They have hundreds of frames to choose from and the advice of a professional framer on site. Dales is also a beautiful space to take in the aura of old Chinatown while enjoying the art exhibits. I visited the Empress with a buddy and his family, and got the chance to see the amenities and the Fairmont Room of the hotel. The High Tea was great, but not worth $70. You do get a lot of food, sugar, cream, and tea options, but the actual stuff you're consuming doesn't feel quite worth that much money. The room was over $400 per night, and it was nothing special at all. You merely pay a fee to say you stayed at the Empress. A typical Double Queen room with a bathroom and a closet that's smaller than most living rooms doesn't make sense to cost so much. Overall, everything was incredibly posh and classy, but why on Earth anybody would pay so much for the experience, I have no idea.

This was my best meal while spending 7 weeks in Victoria. Presentation, flavor, service all fantastic.

New 4 star. Excellent Harbor view. Very Nice pool. Good location to harbor and downtown. In house restaurants not 4 star, but great food close by.
