Terrible!!! Do not ever go there. If I could give less than one star I would! Was my first and last going there, and I hated it. I wish I didn't waste my time and money to get my hair done there. The lady was so rude and had so much attitude towards the hairstyle I wanted when she was doing it. I showed her what I wanted from a picture and she said she could do it and bragged that she had over 20 years of experience; but the end result of my hair was terrible with basically just a whole bottle of hairspray in my hair (which is actually an understatement if you were actually there too see how much she used), and nothing like the picture what so ever. I woke up the next morning realizing that there was even dry hairspray in my ears (I think that speaks for itself). Would never go there in life ever again, even if it was for free or if someone paid me! Also the curling irons were so disgusting, it was completely covered with multiple layers of other people's hair and residue on it!!! like seriously lady clean you curling iron after using it or just buy a new one!! So nasty.

Worst experience for the face laser. She was done in 10 minutes and after two days hair on my face were like I shaved them. Never recommend.

Took my daughter there. Stated straight cut, hairdresser asked if wanted layers and my daughter said no. She has been growing out a very short cut and wanted long for a grad. I went next door and came back in 5 min watching from outside seating area in horror. There was the hairdresser layering and cutting so short at the back. Not to upset my daughter I said looks great it was too late it was cut. As we walked away she started to cry, this was not what she wanted or asked for. It's about 3 inches long at back. I went back and asked what happened the hairdresser stated she asked again about layers and my daughter said yes. I said ok and walked away not to raise a scene. I did not see her ask whole time in sitting area and my daughter stated she did not even ask again. Why would she when we both already told her. Her hair is now short and layered, so short and layered she will have to wait months and months to get to a short bob. The back is uneven as well when we both stated came in to get it straight across. I don't want another school girl to get her chopped that short by hairdresser that seemed just to gap out about what we asked for. For a painfully shy girl this is devastating.

I come here once a month, for a good wash, and a cut. I've been coming consistently for about a year. I've always had great service with phone reminders about my next appointment. I get in on time and out in a reasonable amount of time. the staff is friendly and hilarious. I always have a good time when i'm in the salon. for people that had a bad experience.. that sucks, but I have referred a ton of people here and they have all had great experiences as well.

Since I have been a client of this place from the time of their establishment here in North Vancouver, I have never went back to other spa places I frequented prior. The owners and aestheticians they hire give top notch levelled skin care treatments and services and each of them has more than a decade of training and experience. In addition, they are really friendly and nice! I recommended this place to everyone I know and me and my friends come here after our monthly brunch. Even my cousins, whenever they fly in, love coming to this place for 'gold therapy' and bodyline contouring treatments whenever they come visit me and my family during summer and winter times. Well, they are rare people who are really nice and modest, and exceptional at what they do. Thank-you to everyone at Mary J Spa as always! xoxo

WORST place I have ever gone to! At first the lady doing my hair was nice but then in the middle of the session she mentioned pricing went up and instead charged me DOUBLE! She became super rude and stated manager is away. I strongly recommend finding another place
