Boating

Found out about this online and was able to book everything a few weeks before. We were flying in from Toronto and operated on a very tight schedule for a bachelor's party as we were staying just one day. The entire experience was amazing and very informative in the beginning to help us understand how to operate the boat safely and efficiently. It was pretty dense in the beginning but as long as you're in a group, it should be pretty easily understood and mostly common sense. The experience really exceeded every expectation and we were able to have an unforgettable experience. Both Emma and James who were on duty that day were amazing and helped us settle in. They had called to confirm the day before as well given that I had warned them we might be coming in late if there were any flight delays (we had a connecting flight as well) but everything was on time and all the charges were very fair. Definitely will come back and rent another boat again when we return!

A mix up occurred at our first booking, but Joe rectified the situation without hesitancy. We were given a complimentary booking and went out last Sunday afternoon. What a blast! Lots of fun and lots of attention with this boat on the water. We would definitely do this again!! Great customer service! Thanks Joe!!

Fantastic place. My wife and I did the city and seals ride and loved it. After a week of hiking and biking around the city it was a beautiful change to see everything from the water. I legitimately felt as though I underpaid. Our guide (I think Alex?) really made the trip perfect though; he made us feel as we were being shown the city by someone who knew and loved the place instead of someone reading a script. Thanks for the experience!

JIB SET has been an awesome club to start my sailing path. From simple sailor to 30ft boat skipper, I've learned a lot thanks to the club. I appreciate especially the spirit of welcomeness and adventure of its members. In the summer, the Friday Night Racing is an excellent opportunity to start the week-end by sailing in English Bay with nice people. I would definitely recommend this club! Drop by and give it a try! Just finished an amazing 5 day, 6 night "Cruise and Learn" on their 38 foot Lagoon Catamaran sv Stray Cat. We chartered the whole boat as we also brought the kids, and hired an instructor through Coopers. THE EXPERIENCE WAS PHENOMINAL, and we will be doing the rest of our courses through them as well. Everyone ivolved is passionate about what they do, and it shows in their opperation. Our captain was fantastic. Very enthusiastic, dedicated, thoroughly knowledgeable and driven to instruct. We could not have gotten more out of our week on their boat. Highly recommended from both my wife and myself.

Blue Pacific Yacht Charters hire nice people. I met Jennie on the docks one night as she was trying to rescue a small seal pup that she had noticed. Apparantly the pup had been on the rocks all day. She and other staff called the Aquarium and rescued the seal pup. She kept an eye on that pup whilst doing her duties AND after her shift was over. I was going to stay and help but Jennie (whom I'd never met before) was there and I trusted that the seal pup would not be abandoned. I really admire that she took action. I respect Blue Pacific Yacht Charters for standing behind her and showing true caring. My next yacht charter would be with this company.

Great staff, good equipment. They've explained rules well. My wife and daughter loved a trip toward Granite Falls . Definitely be back

Convenient for your boat!

Went to return an item I bought 3 days ago because it wasn't needed after all. They have a 14 day return policy. Cashier says "you need to get a floor sales member to sign the receipt". So I find one eventually, he writes a small novel on receipt. Needs to test the item to make sure it was still working. I return to cashier. She has no idea how to process refund. She goes for help and disappears for several minutes. Returns with another staff member. They struggle - and fail. More time passes. Lineup grows. After about 5 more minutes I get my refund. Total time for a simple refund - about 15 minutes. They are the only marine store in Vancouver and treat their customers like they know. Staff are rude, unhelpful and hard to find. Place is a mess. Has been for years. Shop online if you can.

very helpful staffs, especially the senior gentleman, he helped me picked a ring net crab trap, got a keeper on my first ever crab fishing trip!!

Mark and his staff at Galleon are top-notch: knowleadgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. My boats, and hence my business run smoothly because of them.... Highly recommended!
