Big Island is great, the lake is ice cold which is nice on a hot day. Fun place to have a fire and cook some food! Had a good time hiking around the trails and dirt roads. Great place to visit, short 5 minute drive to town is also nice.

Campground is very run down, care takers need to actually take care of the place and cut the grass, grade the roads and do something about the low spots that fill with water when it rains, creating a mosquito problem... the playground, or what used to be the playground is a joke.
The smoking in the front office is gross and disgusting!!!!!

It's a great location but they need to take some pride in the facility and start upgrading it and taking care of it.
