I bought my car in the US. I live there and have a cottage here in PEI. We lost our only set of keys. My US dealer was no help at all. Ally stepped up! Hillside fought the red tape and delays of cross-border key code access and within a could hours cut me a brand new working key. My US dealer? Still twiddling his thumbs! Next time, I'll buy Canadian from a trustworthy dealer -Hillside in Charlottetown. Thank you!!!

On a long road trip, from Florida, with my diesel F250, pulling a 26' camper trailer. My change oil light came on over the Thanksgiving day weekend, so had to wait until Tuesday. I was leaving today (Tuesday) for my next stop, and dropped by as soon as they opened, without an appointment (we left the camper at the campground), to see if they could work me in. The really nice gal behind the counter said we'll see what we can do. As I was standing there filling out paperwork a guy came up, picked up my key, and off he went. Within about an hour she came into the nice waiting room and told us our truck was ready. Thank you all for your gracious, cheerful service in helping an out of towner get moving again.

CAR BUYERS OR LEASERS BEWARE!!!! I was helping my parents look for a replacement vehicle to their aging TOYOTA!!!!! Anyway, I sat down with the Salesman. Nice fellow, we hit it off, he seemed to know a lot of people that I knew, small world! I looked at a couple vehicles and we discussed some prices, but the sales rep at no time gave me more than a single number, as opposed to all other dealers that gave me a detailed printout. This guy also did the known visit to the sales manager, who was from my home town, and whose grandfather was best friend with my father, but whom I will not name, and he spent about 15 minutes away until he came back with the final offer, again a single number with no backup as to the costs of the car. In closing, TOYOTA is a phenomenal car, best built in the world, but man, you have to deal with a bunch of sly salespeople to get a car. Be VERY careful, these people are SNAKES!!! My recommendation - if you need a new vehicle, check out the Mazda dealership across the road, or if you want a used Toyota (and a really great deal) go to Longs Auto Center, just a little farther down the road.
