Hearing Aid

This place is truly great. I was new to hearing aids and Gregory set me up with a pair that exactly fit my needs for my budget. My ears have completely different hearing profiles and he designed each aid (including a mold for one ear) to accommodate for that. What I didn't realize at the time of buying was the importance of upkeep and maintenance. Center for Better Hearing absolutely shines in this regard. You can get in to see someone very quickly. They're even open on Saturday. I could go on but space is limited. I've worked with all of their fitters and each one is professional and friendly. And they never tried to sell me something that I didn't want or need. My neighbor and a friend all bought their HA's here and they also are happy with their choice. --Jeff A

I am very pleased with the service and hearing aid (Phonak) I received at AccuQuest. Richard, the clinical director, and Brian took all the time I needed to test my hearing, answer questions, and fit me for a hearing aid that is just perfect in every way. I brought my mom here for a hearing test even though she really didn't want to. My mom believes she has "good" hearing and won't believe anyone telling her she needs hearing aids. When Dr. Ito did the test, I was just holding my breath hoping she would tell my mom she needed hearing aids, but in a nice way so my mom wouldn't be upset. Dr. Ito talked to my mom with such respect and caring that it made her feel comfortable right away and thank goodness she finally got her hearing aids, and at a price she could afford. But well have to come in once in a while for cleanings. Recommend this place to everyone now. Thank you Dr. Ito

My hearing issues are a bit unique. I cannot hear at all in my right ear (I have been deaf in that ear all of my life). I met Joanne Brenner at a Senior Health Fair and mentioned what my problem was and that I had tried a hearing aid (needed two) about 10 to 15 years ago and the technology just was not there to help me. She let me know that technology had improved and that if I wanted to give it a try again to come into their Oakland office. My visit to the office was such a joy. We talked about what situations were important to me, and what type of device I wanted (I wanted something that fit inside the ear). Joanne explained the pros and cons of the cros/bicros (that is what I needed) hearing aids and let me try one. I was sold before I even left the office with my trial aids. Joanne and her staff were wonderful to work with and I can now hear whenever someone speaks on my "deaf" side. I would highly recommend Connect Hearing to anyone having issues. Thank you Joanne.

I went to Dr. Thakkar in the Alameda office after seeing another audiologist and he was able to get the audio gram from them. He took the time to thoroughly explain my problems in a way I could fully understand. Then after a series of questions about my daily hearing needs and desires, he described the pros and cons of several hearing aids that were very familiar to him. He also explained the office visit adjustments necessary to give me the optimum results and the reasonable all inclusive costs for the products and office fine tuning. I was very happy with his staff, his knowledge, his professionalism and caring manner and look forward to great results.

The staff is very helpful. The hearing aid specialist (Darren) is very knowledgeable when it comes to the ear and various hearing aids.
