My mother suffered abuse and the hands of the nursing staff resulting in a dislocated jaw, broken nose and black eyes. I reported the to the CLSC but between government entities they turn a blind eye to everything. The Ombudsman was no help either, they believed all the lies told by Centre Biermans. I have a YouTube interview by CBC and you can find it by looking up FILOMENA COSTA BARRIOS. If one with thing I regret is not doing is to have installed camaras to spy on these people. It would have made a great difference. Keep an eye out for bruises and complaints from your relatives if they are capable. Be vigilant because the majority of the caregivers dont give a crap about the patients wellbeing.

Vraiment très heureuse que mon père sois a cet endroit impeccable, personnelles de qualité. Moi et ma famille nous pouvons dormir sur nos deux oreilles nous sommes en confiance. C'est un CHSLD bien organisé et bien gérer et sa sens bon cet très propre. Bravo!!!! A la direction aux employés (es) et merci de prendre soins de mon père et les autres résidents.

Our family couldn’t be happier than to have found Home Instead. We had reached a critical point in the care of our 89 year old father and a decision had to be made as to whether he would remain in his home or relocate to assisted living. After doing our due diligence, and discussions with Home Instead and learning what they could offer our father/family, it was an easy decision since he wants to remain in his home, and we want that for him. Because of the size of our family and the flexibility some of us have w/ our jobs we didn’t need 24/7 care and Home Instead has been very flexible in meeting our needs. We chose 3 days a week and they were able to accommodate that request. The administrative staff is actually always willing to try to accommodate any request we may have. Now on to his caregivers, which have primarily been Yvonne and Lisa (with the very rare occasion of a sub). We love them both. They are prompt, patient, treat dad with respect, care, and concern. They have offered suggestions and are very open to accepting suggestions when it comes to his care and companionship. They do light household chores to ease some of the burden on family. Home Instead actually provides a list of all the miscellaneous things they are prepared to do. However, we try to keep our expectations minimal so their time is devoted to dad primarily. Lisa has had a huge impact on him and getting him to be more active both physically and mentally. She began playing card games and board games w/ him and now he’ll play all day if someone will play w/ him. He also, at her prodding, will do his physical exercises to help him stay strong and mobile. He enjoys when Yvonne takes him for drives, even when they have no real destination in mind, which I think he may enjoy most. Home Instead and their thoughtful and caring staff have been in our family’s lives for nearly a year now and if we had the decision to make over again it would definitely be to bring them into our family.

I am presently at Jeanne Le Ber The service the staff everything is great here even the food I have a fractured back and let me tell you it’s not easy on me or them but everyone is taken good care of me I have nothing but good things to say about this place.. The rooms are kept clean the nurses aids the doctors they all have a good disposition towards people I’m truly happy that this is where I am to recuperate .. Je suis présentement au centre Jeanne Leber je n’ai que des éloges à faire. Les préposés et les infirmières les docteurs tous sont très accueillant et prennent bien soin de moi. J’ai une fracture au dos donc immobile pas facile pour moi ni pour eux ...Les chambres sont très propre et la nourriture est numéro un..

Très belle endroit pour les personnes âgés. La vue est magnifique. Donne sur l'eau! Et juste à côté de la berge. Parfait pour prendre des marche!

Beaucoup d'avantage pour une personne âgée d'y vivre. Personnel très sympathique, beaucoup de luxe dont une salle de quilles, une salle de billard, une piscine et spa très lumineux, magasins du dix-30 à proximité . Petite salle de cinéma conviviale, petite bibliothèque qui sert de chapelle aussi, services bancaires, restaurant, dépanneur etc. Mais je préfère celui de l'île des Soeurs
