I stayed in Chartwell Conservatory Pond in respite care from April 18 to May 18th 2018. From the moment I stepped through the door of my big bright beautiful suite, I was made to feel at home by the amazing staff and managerial team. Within seconds it seemed everyone knew my name and went out of their way to ensure all my dietary, personal and health needs were met. I truly felt welcomed and cared for in a setting that was not stiff and stagnant but rather open, warm and flexible. At the Pond there certainly was no shortage of smiles and laughter. Part of this I think is attributable to the residents who were equally lovely and engaged - a joy to be around and get to know. Everyone I interacted with seemed content and happy to be in Conservatory Pond. Their opinions, I noticed were valued and their needs attended to in a friendly, respectful way.. In fact, there seemed to be something for everyone at the Pond, whether that was going for a stroll around the well manicured premises, relaxing and enjoying the many cozy lounges and Pond vistas, or actively participating in the fun varied activities being offered by Holly and staff. Among my favourite activities were the piñata party, the steeplechase race, chair yoga, the tulip festival excursion and baking with Bob. I also really enjoyed the in between times with residents such as chit chatting with new friends over a delicious snack or meal or playing impromptu games of scrabble, chess, euchre and wii bowling. Never was I bored or homesick at the Pond, rather just the opposite, I didn’t want to say goodbye. If you are looking for a caring family atmosphere for respite or retirement living, look no further but the Conservatory Pond. You won’t regret it.

It's a wonderful place for elderly people to come to retire. Friendly staff, lots of activities, and an extremely clean environment.

My wife Betty and I came to Trillium Retirement in May 2016. Our reason for selecting Trillium was it had Long Term Care as well as Retirement in one place, as Betty has dementia and lives in the Long Term Care and I am able to live in Retirement and visit her daily or whenever I would like. Trillium Retirement is small and cozy and has about 40 rooms. The meals are very good. The activities at Trillium Retirement are good but the highlight is the program director. This lady does so many things for the residents, one thing I really enjoy are the country drives where we go into the country and drive around for about an hour where I can be reminded of old memories. We also go out for lunch at nice restaurants and we go on winter picnics where she brings the lunch and we sit by Lake Ontario in a warm bus and enjoy the view. I really enjoy living at Trillium Retirement and being able to maintain my close relationship with my wife.

Living at the Waterford Kingston is like living on a cruise ship. Fine dining and entertainment. I have been here for 5 weeks now, and I have been impressed by the staff and the people living here. The daily activities usually start at 0930 with fitness class for all levels to enjoy. Other activities also include; trivia, bingo, crafts, music and some more. The outings activities can take you shopping, dinners, or for a fun ride to see the Christmas lights in the neighbourhood. The activities do not limit themselves only to the day time but also for the evening. You can tag along and go to the movies inside the Waterford or simply go to one of the many music events. So overall the Waterford is the place for me. A place I can call home.
