We've been having supper at the Clansman almost every month for the last few years. It has been reliably good food the entire time. The wait staff are friendly when we eat in as well. The Clansman is definitely a go to spot for us on the Northside.

Best Motel 6 experience in Canada. This is by far the best location in the country. Modern rooms, friendly staff and great price.

Nice place. West Wing bathroom is a bit small. Thin walls.

First off, this is a clean and beautiful bed and breakfast. The breakfast was incredibly delicious. The reason for my low rating was because we were woken up at 6:30 am by the owner and a guest shouting as they socialized in the morning over breakfast. This went on all morning. On vacation (and while jet lagged), sleep is precious. The yelling was rude and made us so tired all day. We had to drive a long way later that night and we were falling asleep. We slept in the car in a McDonalds parking lot later for christsake... and had better sleep. You will most likely not get rest here unless the owner becomes more aware of her guest's sleep and has a quiet rule during sleeping hours.

Just spent a night. Clean, cozy, comfy bed. So enjoyed visiting with Ms Moreland. Wonderful breakfast. Excellent host.

Clean and tidy, very friendly staff and great service! Restaurant and bar are both tasty and refreshing!

Nice place but a little dated

It's the Days Inn so you know to have lower expectations. I was in a room that didn't seem to be used often. It was nice but had several areas that showed evidence of the presence of roaches. I had been looking forward to a convenient hot breakfast but with 6 tables and 3 servers they were in the weeds and couldn't even get me seated. I would try another place the next time.

This place has gone under alot of renovations lately. New owners are figuring out things.

The Hearthstone Inn is a very lovely place...I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Sydney ...The rooms are very cozy and comfortable and the staff are wonderful...I am looking forward our next trip to Sydney and another stay at the Hearthstone Inn...Thank you Lisa and all your wonderful staff

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep that includes a free breakfast this is a good place. Expect to pay a 2% CBRM Levy and a 2.5% Sustainability Levy per night and a $2.00 Safe warranty regardless if you use it or not.

Very nice place if you like a quiet atmosphere and a bit of socializing. Quiet time starts at 9pm, and not all the rooms are the same. Some have private bathrooms, others are more dorm style with a common bathroom. Food is always plenty and good.

Very clean and comfortable. The lady at the help desk went above and beyond to assist me. highly recommended 😁
