The worst insurance company on the planet. Customer service is deplorable. No one knows what the **** they are doing plus I waited 45-min on hold when they were actually closed at 2pm on a Friday afternoon? I guess no one really does work there? What a joke! Wake the **** up you assholes!!

This company is great at dealing with vanilla policy requirements and withdrawing your payments every month, but God help you if you need a non-standard adjustment to your policy. In my case it was staying in one home while the new home was having some pre move in renovations done.
Well, after 8 plus hours wastes on the phone (I have the call logs to prove it), mostly on hold, I cancelled my existing policies and went to a new provider.
The people on the phone are friendly and polite, but it's like dealing with robots.
The process goes like this:
Call RBC, told by automated system that wait was long so to leave a callback number.
Get a callback an hour later, explain what I need then get asked a few questions and told that they need to discuss with the underwritter and put me on hold.
On hold for 15 minutes...
They return on the line, ask a few questions and told that they need to discuss with the underwritter and put me on hold.

The number of cycles varies from call to call but be prepared to set aside at least 3 hours.
1 hour for the callback and 2 hours for the question/hold cycle.
The worst part as they come back with question that were clearly addressed during a previous cycle.
I'm know as a call guy but people who know me, but not did I lose it on the guy on the phone. IF I could apologize to him for my outbreak I would, because he was a nice guy and it's not fault for the bureaucraric and soul crushing customer service model his company uses.
I found a good broker with a smaller company and the process was great and human!
We could email informations back and forth efficiently and get things closed quickly.
Never again with RBC or an RBC type.
I can't even imagine what it would have been like processing a claim with them.

Great rates and excellent customer service over the phone. The rate provided online was the rate given upon completion of my phone conversation. Upon renewal I was pleasantly surprised to find my premium has decreased significantly (nearly $200/yr.). Also completed the automerit program and found the directions to be straight forward and easy to understand. Very impressed so far.
Intact Insurance

Very poor service from adjuster on 1st and only claim. No follow up from company on survey comments, then why send one. Lesson learned: Honesty gets you nothing. Had l lied, the claim would have been completed in a timely manner. Living in a home for 2 1/2 months while repairs, paint and noisy equipment is left on was very stressful. I don't recommend this company.

Insurance Hotline called my work today. A very rude man asked for my owner/manager. I asked him what company he was with, he hung up on me. Luckily I have caller ID and was able to track down that the call came from Insurance Hotline. I don't know if these people have to keep talk time low or just have horrible customer service. Regardless, you don't HANG UP on potential clients. Don't do business with these people, quotes are too high anyway. Waste of your time!

my car was in an accident a few years back, and somethings we never estimate, at times i know when people ask me, why do you pay so high insurance, i keep telling them, what if i need it, i want all included, when car got into accident- it did not matter if it was at fault or not, at the time, but meloche monnex, kept in touch through the process, made sure we driver and passengers are okay, and asked if we need any other help, i got car rental promptly and awesome support, as they called and asked how things were going, did i need any other help. first time experience with insurance company and it went so well, after teh incident we are not in a state of making desicions, the cops, witness everything gets too complicated.
but was blessed with awesome support for meloche, and the Cops on site.
thank you

I applied for a job here and during my phone interview with one of their managers it became clear that he had gotten a negative off-the-record reference from my previous employer and had no intention to actually hire me. He had me on speakerphone and some of the questions he asked made me wonder how he even got that information in the first place!
